Adding information from BBC

For some reason, I cannot add information about the impact of the war on Iran’s job market. Could someone help me add the information from a BBC report:

  • "One Iranian website, Asr-e Iran, recently cited an unofficial estimate that up to four million jobs may have been lost or impacted by the combined effect of the war and the government's near-total internet shutdown."
  • "But he vents his frustration that he cannot even access a website to translate words while he was reading a book because of the digital shutdown, which has now been in force for more than 50 days. Even Iran's communications minister Sattar Hashemi recently called for the ban to be lifted, highlighting that around 10 million people, mainly from middle and lower-income groups, depended on digital connectivity for their work. He called it a "public right"."

Description of suggested change: In the first paragraph of the Europe > War in Ukraine section, it is stated that the Brest and Toulon military bases are US bases, but they are French bases, and the article sourcing that claim specifically states that they are operated by the French navy.

Diff:

In France, the main US military bases

Description of suggested change:

This seems like an outdated prediction from much earlier this year, UK inflation has been turned out lower than expected in reality and UK CPI was 2.6% in June 2026, lower than in many European nations

Diff:

UK inflation is expected to breach 5% in 2026, the highest prediction for Europe.

Done It is still possible, I suppose, but more problematic is I couldn't see that figure in either of the sources – macaddct1984 (talk | contribs) 16:15, 20 August 2026 (UTC)
