- ... that Fatima Payman (pictured) is the first member of the Parliament of Australia to wear a hijab?

While stated in the lead, the hook's fact is not sourced in the lead and is wholly unmentioned in the body. ~ Pbritti (talk) 01:36, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Pbritti does my edit at Special:Diff/1268309867 suffice to satisfy your concern? TarnishedPathtalk 04:16, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- @TarnishedPath: Looks good! I'm going to do a quick review of the article when I have fresh eyes and should have this approved by the end of the day UTC. Thanks! ~ Pbritti (talk) 04:35, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Pbritti: lol on your edit at Special:Diff/1268313206. Actually I was almost going to do this DYK review because I have some articles coming up in the future that I will need QPQ for, but then I realised that I couldn't because I had edited the article a bit. Anyway when I was going to review it, I did a bit of googling about another Australian politician named Pauline Hanson to determine if she was the first female to wear a hijab because a number of years ago in an act of racist belligerence she's decided to wear a Burqa in parliament. Anyway I was glad at the time to see that Hanson wasn't the first to female to wear a hijab in parliament. TarnishedPathtalk 05:11, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hi TarnishedPath, just wanted to double check if were you intending to follow through on reviewing Payman's article? If so, I'll leave you to it, but if not, I would love to take a look at it when I have the time to this week! Ornithoptera (talk) 18:03, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Ornithoptera as I wrote above, I can't because I've edited the article. Also I think Pbritti is already in the middle of reviewing it. TarnishedPathtalk 23:03, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
