Passover cookbook merged to Passover Seder

Passover cookbook was merged to Passover Seder today. I'm uncomfortable with this due to the apparent marginalization of a topic that includes a University of Minnesota Libraries special collection "mostly from [Minnesota] women's groups". Adding to the appearance of marginalization, they also removed category tags making the topic even harder to find. It seems that the mover's rationale could be applied to any type of cookbook and merged to some other subject that the mover considers more important. There's already a problem IMO with under-linking and under-contextualization for all cookbook articles, and a considerable number or orphans including The Gefilte Manifesto; following the mover's logic would worsen the issue. Again, maybe I'm wrong, but let's discuss it. ☆ Bri (talk) 16:35, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

Did you discuss this with the user that performed the merge? ScalarFactor (talk) 16:52, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
You may revert the merge, if it bothers you. The next step for the user who performed the merge would be to open a discussion. WP:BRD applies to merges as well, at least that's the way I see it. Cheers, MediaKyle (talk) 17:00, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
