I've finished my review; some comments to respond to, but we are quite close to promotion. Well done with this article :) HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 03:53, 11 June 2026 (UTC)

Prose review

In progress HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 04:17, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

Lead

  • The MOS:FIRSTSENTENCE should probably mention some of his roles (perhaps Hollyoaks). Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
  • There's some redundancy (e.g. Working professional) in the second sentence; I'd change it to read something like He made his professional debut at 10 years old in the 2011 movie Horrid Henry: The Movie, and went on to roles in the television series Spy (2012), Doctor Foster (2017) and Into the Badlands (2018).
  • Rest of the lead looks good! A bit short, but being concise is a good thing. Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)

Early and personal life

  • I'd break Frank Kauer was born in 2000 and he is British and Chinese into two sentences. HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
    • Also fine with the semi-colon! HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 18:38, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
  • For flow reasons, I'd move He lives in London after the sentence about uni. Start with his past, and then talk about his present (where he lives and what he enjoys doing). HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)

Career

  • I'd change He described it as being "such a mad experience" being on the red carpet for the first time in his life to He described being on the red carpet for the first time in his life as "such a mad experience"; a bit less jarring. Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
  • I'd omit which he travelled to Dublin for as unimportant trivia. HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
  • Working with Suranne Jones in Doctor Foster encouraged him to pursue an acting career I'd clarify whether Jones personally encouraged Kauer, whether Jones was Kauer's inspiration, or a mixture. HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
  • With the quote experiencing the challenges growing up mixed race brought, I'd clarify if you are quoting Kauer or a third party. HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
  • His first few months on set were impacted by restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom -> do any sources specify how they were impacted? Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
    • Circling back after the spot-check (where I looked at this source), it talks about the two meter distance restriction. I'd include that detail. Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 03:50, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
  • Per MOS:EDITORIAL, I'd avoid the word notable in A notable storyline for Kauer. It seems a bit awkward just removing the word, so I'd just rephrase the sentence. Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)

Source spot-check

This table lists 11 random passages from throughout the article (40.7% of 27 total passages). These passages contain 25 inline citations (53.2% of 47 in the article). Generated with the Veracity user script. HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 04:17, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

I've removed Most of Kauer's colleagues who were portraying other teenagers in the soap opera were younger than him, other than Ellie Henry, who was the same age as him from the table because I can't access either source. Otherwise, a couple of minor transcription errors and a bigger question about the release date of Molly. Spotlight says 2025, but it might've been delayed? If so, we need a better source.

Non-spot-check question, but what makes tvmaze.com a reliable source? I'm doubtful of a source where I can't find out who is responsible for content, and RSN suggests (in a thread you started ) that it might be user-generated. Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 03:50, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
@HouseBlaster: Hey, I have addressed all of your concerns. I removed TVMaze as a source - I never saw the replies on the RSN thread (I assumed I would get notified) so I thought there were no concerns. I think I have fixed everything :) DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 10:52, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
Awesome! Everything looks good, and I am promoting this article to GA status. Thank you so much for your work :) HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 18:38, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

Did you know nomination

  • ... that Frank Kauer related to his Hollyoaks character because he experienced "the challenges growing up mixed race brought"?

  • Made Good Article less than 7 days from nomination. DYKS are completed. Length is more than sufficient. Article is presentable and well-sourced. In terms of hooks, I favor ALT3 the most as it feels the most interesting to an unknowing reader. Jishara (talk) 13:47, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
