Spelling of name
Is it "Helmuts" or "Helmut"? Most of the sources I've read spell it "Helmut", without the 's'. Anyone know definitively which spelling is correct? --93JC 05:19, August 11, 2005 (UTC)
- It is definitely "Helmuts" in Latvian which is his mother tongue. However, it does seem that in most sources that aren't from the .lv domain it is spelt "Helmut". --Jūzeris | Talk 07:45, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
- Good enough for me. --93JC 22:43, August 19, 2005 (UTC)

Helmuts Balderis → Helmūts Balderis-Sildedzis — This living person has changed name. He is a notable retired ice hockey right wing as Helmuts Balderis, but is now chairman of the NASDAQ OMX Riga listed company (Olainfarm) as Helmūts Balderis-Sildedzis. The Latvian Olympic Committee mentions him as Helmūts Balderis-Sildedzis – Google: Helmuts Balderis, Helmūts Balderis Sildedzis. Philaweb 19:23, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
- weak oppose an English language search using the suggested name results in very few hits. The current name results in alot of English language hits. 76.66.203.138 (talk) 05:28, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
