Naming articles on municipalities

How should articles on municipalities (городское/сельское поселение etc.) be named? Currently there aren't many of them, but there is e.g. Sosnovskoye Rural Settlement, Leningrad Oblast. Personally I think calling that one Sosnovo Rural Settlement would make more sense, one reason being that the municipal center is called Sosnovo, not Sosnovskoye. Then again, using the suffixed form is in line with articles on districts, e.g. Priozersky District (as opposed to Priozersk District). -- Kapulakone (talk) 05:14, 23 January 2026 (UTC)

Need help on Olga Kuzmina's Wikipedia article.

There are three red links that lead to Russian Wikipedia articles: State Academy of Slavic Culture [ru], 7 Days (ru), and Kitchen. War for the Hotel [ru]. I need an editor who knows more about Russian culture than me just so my newly created Wikipedia page about actress Olga Kuzmina doesn't have these three red links. Yoshiman6464 ♫🥚 02:22, 24 January 2026 (UTC)

There is nothing wrong with an article having red links. --Altenmann >talk 04:02, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
@Altenmann: Thanks. But I still need some assistance. Right now, I am at least creating an article for Squared Zebra since it received an English dub, and that Kuzmina voiced the titular character.

Conditions (Russia)

Is Conditions (Russia) a hoax article? It was created way back in 2008 and has been tagged since 2012. @Bearian: tagged it with {{hoax}} and a claim that the article is "nonsense". I know bupkis about Russian history, so I'm taking it here. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 16:19, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

It appears to have grains of truth mixed in with nonsense, possibly from either a poor translation from Russian, or LLM-generated text. It reads like Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (opera) on LSD. Bearian (talk) 17:08, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
Not hoax and I removed the tag. YOu may easily see the interwikis. I will take a look. BTW in the history it is clearly stated it is translation from ru. (unfortunately the autror user:Jeremydas is inactive now. --Altenmann >talk 20:40, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
P.S. Yes the English of Jeremydas could be better ("You contrary avoid the reasoning concerning the wikipedia rules and are going on to insist on the same text each occasions"). --Altenmann >talk 20:47, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
P.P.S. <sigh> Nuked. --Altenmann >talk 20:57, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
P.S. @Bearian: I am curious what you think is wrong with Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (opera). Maybe I can ty and fix a bit. At the first glance, its mediocre quality is not uncommon in neglected corners of wikipedia. --Altenmann >talk --Altenmann >talk 20:44, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
Nothing is wrong with the opera article. Do you know what happens at the end? Bearian (talk) 20:49, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

Requested help at Intercontinental_ballistic_missile

Never done one of these before so please bear with me.

The "Cold War" section of the "History" section of the Intercontinental ballistic missile has a lot of detail on American ICBMs, and not a lot of detail on Soviet ICBMs. I personally don't know a lot about these (at least not enough detail on specific models/development history to edit the section) So consider this an open request for some subject matter expert to come and assist. Rescue page Lev Bondarev please

I think Lev Bondarev probably passes WP:NPROF, but much of the page is unsourced. I have removed obvious non-encyclopedic content, but Geography is not my topic so I cannot do more, plus there is the language issue of many of the sources. The page is too old for draftification, and I am reluctant to send to to AfD to enforce draftification. Can someone repair it please.

Courtesy ping of User:Ivtorov, and I am also going to post to Wikipedia:WikiProject Russia for their expertise in his area. Ldm1954 (talk) 14:49, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

This is an unprocessed translation from ruwiki with all corresponding probems: referenceng, content, and WP:TFOLWP. This user made several other translations in the same improper way. --Altenmann >talk 16:53, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

Russian-language online encyclopedias

Some of the Russian-language online encylopedias listed at commons:Category:Russian-language_online_encyclopedias and https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Russian-language_online_encyclopedias are probably notable. Perhaps someone could create an article about https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q103930216 Cyclowiki, not to promote it but just to explain what it is and why it was created. I couldn't find anything about Cyclowiki in the English Wikipedia, and the Russian Wikipedia page for Cyclowiki is just a redirect to Russian Wikinews at https://ru.wikinews.org/wiki/%D0%9A%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%B3%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%8F:%D0%A6%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%BB%D0%BE%D0%BF%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%B8%D1%8F7 DowntownUgarit (talk) 18:02, 12 March 2026 (UTC)

It started as an attack page and I highly doubt it is notable. Ymblanter (talk) 20:24, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
