Ilisha (genus) → Ilisha – move the current article to the base name, replacing the current 2-entry disambiguation page, and delete the redirect Ilisha (disambiguation). The other entry, Ilish (Tenualosa ilisha) is not known solely as "Ilisha". Put a hatnote at the article {{distinguish|Ilish}}. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 15:13, 1 March 2026 (UTC) — Relisting. - Comment - I was able to find some other articles whose titles had "Ilisha" in them. Some of them were Ilisha elongata, Ilisha megaloptera, and Ilisha africana. Some others were Ilisha River, Ilisha Jarrett. The former is a list of fish species which will not referred to by just "Ilisha". But I am a little sceptical of the latter two, one being a WP:BLP and the other being a river. I can (almost certainly) see the river not being referred to as "Ilisha", but the individual can be referred to as such. I will be in support of your proposal in the event I am convinced that this genus is more notable than the person. Besides the disambiguation page can still serve a purpose by including the river and the person in my humble opinion. signed, Kvinnen (talk) 23:09, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
