Is that journal considered 'academic'?-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 18:00, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
- No. --Duncan 12:04, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
It has always been a cross between 'academic' and 'activist' as a journal - but it is a journal - not a magazine - hence its title. It is misleading to call it a 'magazine', so could it be changed back to journal? - thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Histomatist (talk • contribs) 16:40, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

International Socialism (magazine) → International Socialism – Disambiguation not required. 207.161.86.162 (talk) 06:15, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 13:34, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
- To most people, "International Socialism" with any case of component letters means a political movement, or a set of political movements, rather than a publication. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 13:34, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
- How do you reconcile that view with WP:DIFFCAPS (and, indirectly, MOS:ISMCAPS)? 207.161.86.162 (talk) 06:32, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose and rather strong too. This certainly needs to be distinguished from International Socialism as in Socialism. Bingobro (Chat) 11:10, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. The undisambiguated title is not recognisable. And this edit should be reverted. Andrewa (talk) 07:12, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

International Socialism (journal) → International Socialism – Disambiguation not required, per WP:DISAMBIGUATION's preference for natural disambiguation over parenthetical, and the hatnote can be modified to account for those searching for proletarian internationalism UltrasonicMadness (talk) 00:40, 10 February 2026 (UTC). International socialism with a lower-case S redirects to that article instead of to this one and there are many articles that disambiguate by casing like this such as Power play and Power Play. — Preceding unsigned comment added by UltrasonicMadness (talk • contribs) 00:40, 10 February 2026 (UTC) — Relisting. - As with the discussion above, I am not convinced that "International Socialism" at any capitalization does not first and foremost refer to a movement rather than a journal. BD2412 T 03:35, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose. I agree with the opinion by Andrewa at 07:12, 6 July 2020 (UTC) that "The undisambiguated title is not recognisable." Cfls (talk) 17:31, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
