- It is true that we cite Ethnologue here in this article, but only as a default source for speaker numbers. But we don't necessarily adopt their treatment of Serbo-Croatian standard varieties in the listing of language family members. I'll revert to the previous version that lists Serbo-Croatian as a single language. –Austronesier (talk) 20:47, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
Serbian and Croatian are two different languages

- They're different registers of the same language. 46.222.154.142 (talk) 16:54, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
Arab population in Europe
As far as I can tell from googling for sources, the 12 million figure for Arabs in Europe is actually the number of Muslims in Europe. While there's certainly a lot of overlap between those communities, several of the biggest Muslim countries aren't Arab countries, most significantly Turkey, Pakistan and Iran. Not to mention a whole host of smaller nations like Azerbaijan, Kazahkstan, etc. I'm going to change this field to "unknown." Tserton (talk) 18:08, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
List of Languages
The table in which the languages can be sorted by number of speakers, some languages have no number of native and non-native speakers combined which means that when one sorts the table for it, these languages don't appear in the right place. LogicalLens (talk) 04:06, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
Language map is iffy
The first image has the Altaic family listed, despite the Altaic language family not generally being believed to exist. A better map should be used which uses the generally agreed upon families for those placed in the Altaic category 2600:387:15:5311:0:0:0:B (talk) 22:58, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
