Cetme rifles are assault rifles
@VesperiusThe Cetme Model A is an assault rifle and not a battle rifle, if you read the article they mention "They used the 7.92×41mm CETME intermediate cartridge", and the Cetme Model B is an assault rifle too because it uses 7.62×51mm CETME, this cartrdige is a fuel reduced load 7.62×51mm NATO with significantly less power. 89.1.30.202 (talk) 12:57, 26 June 2025 (UTC)

- yes but 7.62x51mm cetme has like half the power of 7.62×51mm NATO, and the Japanese cartridge has 10% less powder, and you also removed a variant of the FG 42 which was chambered in 8mm Kurz. 89.1.30.202 (talk) 13:36, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- I've reverted this insertion; first, there's no consensus nor is there any citation provided to indicate that reliable sources refer to this as an intermediate cartridge, or these rifles as "assault rifles." Second, 7.62x51mm NATO is NOT an intermediate cartridge; it is a full-powered battle-rifle cartridge. - Agreed... zero mention of the word "assault" on CETME rifle (except once, naming the "Assault Weapons Ban"), zero mention of "7.62x51 CETME" on intermediate cartridge, and finally, the lede sentence on CETME rifle clearly states "The CETME Model 58 is a stamped-steel, select-fire battle rifle". @A.C.O.M.S-2023: In order to be included here, we need a reliable source that clearly states that this is a unique and separate type of rifle and not a modification of an M4, in which case we already have that line covered. That is why the addition keeps being reverted -- you have not established consensus that it is an independent entry meriting inclusion.
