Can we get a map going by % per capita GDP?

Currently misses the Personal Income Tax Rate in percent for each country which means the minimum wage can appear alot higher than the actual take-home value earnt after tax. completely unrealistic. Just about every country on the planet uses a progressive personal income tax system with so many complex caveats that

On October 18, somebody updated Israel's row in this table with new numbers in this edit, but their action had the undesirable side effect of breaking the row entirely, so that every column displayed a blaring red "Error in Template:Nts: Fractions are not supported" error message instead of a number. However, they just changed numbers — even the working version of the table contained "fractions", and the editor didn't introduce any new "fractions" that weren't already there, so it isn't obvious to me how their edit caused the problem.

For the moment I've reverted their edit, since we obviously can't leave the table in a broken state (also, it was transcluding a redlinked error-maintenance category that I couldn't leave on the page). If their edit was fundamentally valid, however, then could somebody update Israel's row with the new numbers in a way that doesn't break it? Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 16:03, 19 October 2024 (UTC)

I didn't fix it, but looking into the issue, I see that someone updated Israel's minimum wage in 2025 in this edit. I don't know what caused the error in the earlier attempted update, but the issue will be moot as I'm planning on overhauling the way the calculations are done. Could anyone try to fix the issue that is causing Argentina to have a minimum wage of 14.89 USD per hour? Values appear to be correct but something in the calculation is broken. From the sources, the value should be around ten times lower. Angryvendingmachine (talk) 21:25, 10 June 2025 (UTC)

In the entry for Cuba in the minimum wage table, the following text is given: Each citizen is however also given free food to supplement the salary. As far as I know, the statement is false. If somebody can provide details (references, name of the program, etc.), that would be helpful. Many years ago I created the templates that main table in this article uses to calculate the data in the various columns of the table. This allowed for better consistency and accuracy in carrying out the calculations at the expense of less transparency. I haven't been active in maintaining the currency conversion factors on which some of the calculations are based, and this has caused issues due to inflation. The conversion factors are currently from 2016, and I was disappointed to find that no one else has attempted to update them. I think in part this is due to the complexity of the template system and the lack of a documented workflow. For that reason, I'm planning to simplify the system using modules and document here the workflow to update the system as newer economic data becomes available. I'll be working in my sandbox first before rolling the new system out. Please feel free to check it out and make any suggestions. Don't let this announcement discourage you from making edits to this article; when the new system rolls out, it will incorporate the changes made between now and then.
