Notability of secondary schools in Singapore

I see that a number of schools have just had their articles deleted by User:Whyiseverythingalreadyused and redirected to this article on the grounds that they are not notable. I know the question of the notability of schools globally has been intensely discussed in the past and I see there was an RFC in 2017 which decided that secondary schools are not intrinsically notable but need secondary sources to demonstrate notability. But I find it hard to believe there are no such sources for, for instance, Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road), which is quite a famous school. I don't have time to do the necessary research myself. In this particular case we could alternatively update the old article Anglo-Chinese_School about the ACS group of schools as a whole, or expand the ACS(I) article, which already mentions ACS(BR). -- Alarics (talk) 12:55, 7 May 2026 (UTC)

But I give it to you that ACS(BR) appears to meet the GNG following a check on NewspaperSG

@Whyiseverythingalreadyused, please do a quick check on NewsaperSG before redirection. There is no need for you to write up the article if there are sources available there.
