The article stated: It is generally considered by many around the world to be a German and Italian style of play that is primitive and used by teams lacking the skill to create plays, it is heavily criticized by supporters who prefer more skill-based technical and tactical play.^[1][2][3] . I found this page very subjective and biased. I corrected the description of Flo's goal against Brazil, and added two links for Demba Ba's goal against PSG and Ireland's goal against the Netherlands. But many sentences of this article are just biased or subjective. For example, the paragraph describing Chelsea's gameplan against PSG was subjective, and the "Like England, Ireland are notorious for playing the long ball forward, possibly owing to their shared footballing heritage and tradition which continue to this day" sentence sounds biased and lacks evidence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Foreverkeeper2 (talk • contribs) 02:47, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

In Continental Europe the style is called kick and rush.
In the Netherlands, and I presume many other countries, it is only pejoratively referred to as kick and rush. E.g. in Dutch there is the neutral term de lange bal and phrases such as de lange bal hanteren (to use the long ball).Rectificus (talk) 20:01, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
