House Speaker
Dear Lori, i am asking you to vote for Jim Jordan for House Speaker. As republicans we need to stick together when it comes to these major issues. I know many were not pleased with McCarthys removal but it is the Speakers job to keep his promises. Unfortunately McCarthy did not honor his word. Jim Jordan is a good man and will be a great Speaker of the House. Please represent the republicans here in Oregon and voy for Jim Jordan. Thank you Patnlisa50 (talk) 20:46, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
Lori Chavez-DeRemer article seems sketchy
I think this article must be missing important information. If President-Elect Trump chose this person to be the new Secretary of Labor (pending confirmation), isn't there more in her background that would indicate some knowledge of or connection to labor issues? Has Chavez-DeRemer ever belonged to a union? The article does not say. Has she ever been involved in labor negotiations? The article does not say. It seems as though more research could be done, and since Ms. DeRemer is a living person, someone could go to the trouble of asking her about her background. That is just a suggestion, of course! 167.102.146.2 (talk) 17:39, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- if you find articles from reliable sources (RS) please link them and i'd be happy to include information from them. we can't do original research - only reference what other people say from RS. Cononsense (talk) 18:12, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
Bipartisan support for this nomination
The article states "Chavez-DeRemer was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on March 10, 2025, by a bipartisan vote of 67–32." I must dispute this claim. A person rejected by a majority of one party, as is the case here, should not be decribed as "bipartisan". 12.107.240.99 (talk) 03:04, 3 August 2025 (UTC)
Controversies
There are recent articles on an investigation into her alleged personal actions in her role by credible publications. Interested in seeing this in a controversy section.
