No consensus

Hi, User:AusLondonder! I understand the AfD was closed as 'no consensus', which does not mean redirect. Am I not in the right?Zigzig20s (talk) 01:28, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

User:AusLondonder: Yes, I read your edit summary, and the AfD was not "Delete" or "Redirect", it was "No consensus". So please restore this article, and nominate it for a second AfD.Zigzig20s (talk) 03:10, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply and for starting this discussion. Did you read the closing summary of the AfD? The closer stated "In any case, discussion has died down, and merging the content does not require AfD." It is already covered in overzealous detail at Jacob Rees-Mogg#Rumoured run for leadership. Does that not suffice? AusLondonder (talk) 03:11, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
User:AusLondonder: The closer was yourself! Sorry, this looks like you are trying to delete the article. Please restore it and start a second AfD. That is how it works. You need to reach consensus to delete content. Or, restore it and propose a merge and wait for consensus.Zigzig20s (talk) 03:13, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
No, the closer was not me please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Moggmentum. AusLondonder (talk) 03:17, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
Fair enough (it's a little late here). But the closer says, "No consensus to keep the article or merge the content to another.". There is no consensus to merge, and I object to the merge without further discussion. Please restore the content and start another AfD or start a merge proposal.Zigzig20s (talk) 03:20, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Possibly useful source

Today's Observer has an article Jacob Rees-Mogg: on the trail of the pinstripe pretender which may be a useful source for this article. Rod talk 10:54, 8 October 2017 (UTC)

What is totally missing from this article, is what it means to be part of moggmentum

Based on the this man's voting record, it goes without saying, the people behind Moggmentum are aligned with his values. His values are not the record of a person with an open mind and beautiful soul.

Johnson government, Covid, Election loss, Aftermath

Mogg lost his seat at the 2024 election.

However it's unclear if he, or these groups of activists, hope a return to politics could occur one day.

Additionally, there's no coverage of his ministerial positions in the early 2020s. How did Moggmentum advocates react to his time in the news?

Food for thought. ElectronicsForDogs (talk) 13:14, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
