This appears to be a standard content dispute between contributors, including User Peaceray, regarding the most suitable infobox image for Nitin Nabin. On one hand, the currently restored image maintains stability, while on the other, the alternative image — File:Nitin Nabin, National President of Bharatiya Janata Party meeting with the President of India, Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan (2025) (cropped).jpg — offers a more recent depiction in an official setting with Droupadi Murmu. From a neutral standpoint, both options can be evaluated based on common considerations such as clarity at infobox size, how well the subject is framed, and overall encyclopedic value, rather than solely recency or resolution. - Above are two candidate images for the infobox on this Nitlin Nabin article.
- The first image, on the left, has been used for 21 months.
- The first image appears to have been the subject sitting for a portrait, & facing the camera with his body facing 30° to his right, with his face turned towards the camera
- The second image on the right, has his body facing 90° to the right, with his face turned toward the camera, looking over his right shoulder
- The first image is from January 2024 & the second is from December 2025.
- The first image's maximum resolution 144 × 155 pixels & the second's 2,011 × 2,012 pixels.
- My comments
- Although the second image is more recent & has a higher resolution, it is not nearly as well composed or as suitable for the inbox images as the first. The first image looks more dignified & formal to me, whereas the second is not the orientation normally expected for an infobox. Frankly, the posing of the second image looks awkward & even a bit goofy to me.
- Despite the age & lower resolution, I believe that the first image is much better as the infobox image. Furthermore, the image from which the second photo is extracted, File:Nitin Nabin, National President of Bharatiya Janata Party meeting with the President of India, Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan (2025).jpg, is already displayed in the article, & the use of a crop of that image in the infobox would be redundant.
