OK you need to clarify if this term applies only to certain structures in certain religions, or if it is a general term to describe a temporary structure erected in ANY religion. For example, would a sukkah (in Judaism) be called a "pandal"? I'm guessing not. Pondok

Does the Malay word pondok come from pandal? The English equivalent of the Pondok article is Hut, but though hut is a synonym, it doesn't have quite the same context or shades of meaning as the Malay word. Ikan Kekek (talk) 14:24, 1 April 2022 (UTC)
