- Phoenix Fuel Masters → Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters
- Phoenix Fuel Masters all-time roster → Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters all-time roster
- Phoenix Fuel Masters draft history → Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters draft history
- List of Phoenix Fuel Masters seasons → List of Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters seasons
– I originally did an outright move via technical request, but it was reverted right away, which is why I am making this a discussion. The team brought back the “Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters” name in January coinciding with the appointment of Charles Tiu as head coach. This is reflected in their social media pages, and during the recent All-Star Weekend, all Phoenix players competing in the side events wore the old light blue Super LPG jerseys.
It was somewhat vague initially since “Phoenix Fuel Masters” is already the shortened name of the team, but with the All-Star Weekend, it is now confirmed. And following similar principles with “Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots”, it will make more sense to use the full name rather than the shortened one. This page has flip flopped too often
is valid, but that is just the reality of team names in Philippine basketball, which is basically to promote a product. They even do that during the middle of a season, which is kinda confusing and dumb ngl. Dieter Lloyd Wexler 12:31, 9 March 2026 (UTC)- Support per nom. I was watching earlier the game of Magnolia and Phoenix Super LPG. The barker always announcing the "Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters" when the team was called a foul and calling a timeout. I think that's the sign that we should use the full name to avoid confusion. Gayviewmahat (talk) 23:40, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

- Oppose. Their website still calls them Phoenix Fuel Masters. I don't know what the history of this is, but it looks like inserting things like "Super LPG" into thr name from time to time is a sort of marketing strategy. Per WP:NOTPROMO and the general project principle of not using unstable temporary sponsorship names, we should simply stick with the longterm more concise and stable name. — Amakuru (talk) 07:59, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

They don't update those stuff as quickly as their NBA counterparts. Heck, most teams don't even have an official website....unstable temporary sponsorship names...
There's no external sponsor as the team itself is the "sponsor". It's the team of a fuel brand. PBA is basically an inter-company league. The team name is already a marketing strat on its own so adding "Super LPG" doesn't really add to the fact that it's already an advertisement....the longterm more concise and stable name.
This might be concise, but the one with the "Super LPG" is in fact the more long-term name that has been used by the team, if you look at its history. Dieter Lloyd Wexler 12:52, 10 March 2026 (UTC)- It also looks like the PBA is begin to use the old Super LPG logo in other areas. On social media, the Super LPG logo is used in their weekly schedule post. MarcusAbacus (talk) 00:11, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Support/Comment as per Dieter Lloyd Wexler PBA franchise names are inherently linked to the franchise owner (a corporation), its reasonable to assume that official communications and sports media outlets will follow suit. There are no known "non-sponsored" version of the name like the VNS V.C. does in volleyball. Filipino organizations primarily use Facebook and social media as their main platform, and the Phoenix Fuel Masters have also updated their Facebook page already, Hariboneagle927 (talk) 04:30, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- There may be no stable non-sponsored version, but there is a stable version that is used in the official page and in some of the seasons in which this team plays and sources. And that is the simple Phoenix Fuel Masters. The company's decision to insert Super LPG into their title from time to time is a marketing gimmick and it is not Wikipedia's job to give them free advertising in that fashion. The simple long-term common name for this is simply Phoenix Fuel Masters, a name which is recognizable even if you only know the longer form. — Amakuru (talk) 13:50, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- FWIW, PBA teams are essentially marketing gimmicks. These are not independent organizations. If the company goes bankrupt, regardless if the team has won then second most titles in history, the team goes away, as well. Howard the Duck (talk) 19:56, 12 March 2026 (UTC)

- Wait. Let's see how WP:RS calls this team during the ongoing 2026 PBA Commissioner's Cup. This team has changed its name way too frequently. Howard the Duck (talk) 21:40, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Support PBA and One Sports PH already using Super LPG Fuel Masters.
