Comments:
- there is inconsistent use of past and present tense. I tried my best to make a few copy edits here and there to fix that. Overall, I would suggest going back and reviewing the article to make sure that prior events are written in past tense.
- @Chilicave:I have tried to fix the inconsistent use of past tense in the articles. Let me know if I still misses any spots.ChopinChemistTalk? 13:21, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
- @ChopinChemist, sounds good. I'll take a look at the end of the review and help with minor fixes wherever I can. Chilicave (talk) 17:35, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
- source spot check - 97 (good), 62 (good), 55 (good), 104 (good),
- source 101, does not really support the statement "first Vietnamese person to receive this award." The source states that she was first rights activist from Vietnam to be given the award. I would not say that she is the first Vietnamese person to win this award unless you have a stronger claim that supports this. It's better to mention that she's the first Vietnamese rights activist to receive the award.
Done.
- this sentence The publication of the Đồng Tâm report amid the upcoming party congress in January 2021 were considered the reasons leading to her arrest at this time.[40] is not reflected in the source accurately. The source mentions the reasons for her arrest "may also have been prompted" or "likely prompted." The source sounded a bit uncertain about reasons for her arrest so it should be preserved that way in the article.
Done Inserted "likely" between "considered" and "reasons"
- Some NPOV suggestions:
- Subheading Arrest and persecution should be changed to just arrest or arrest and imprisonment or something else that you prefer. Persecution is a strong non-neutral word.
Done.
- Lead section: Because of these activities, she was repeatedly harassed by the authorities and had to live in hiding within Vietnam. I am aware that you have many sources to support this statement in the body of the article, but because it's a potentially contentious claim, I would recommend adding citations in the lead section as well.
Done reused the Amnesty International and Literary Review sources.
- Lead section: Her health had deteriorated during her time as an activist and during her imprisonment. I am unsure if this line is important to include in the lead in comparison to the rest of her work. I recommend removing it.
Done.
- sources look reliable through spot checks, very good! Sources like Luat Khoa and The Vietnamese are co-founded by Trang but information is only used for basic facts, not controversial claims. No issues.
Overall, happy with everything else! I'm placing this article on hold until the above issues can be addressed. Well done:)
Did you know nomination
