- @HRShami:, can you double check the sourcing as there appears to be WP:OR involved with your request. For instance, the first two sentences about centering "on family enterprises have centered on ownership structures, managerial practices, governance, wealth management, and on family offices" does not list things like governance, managerial practices, ownership structure in the source (unless I missed something - if so, please point it out). The third sentence says that "he has advised" but the source says that the Alliance, founded and led by Amit, hosts gatherings which is not the same. You can ping me here when you have more information and I will come back to review the request, but please also check the rest of your request to ensure it is accurate according to the sourcing. --CNMall41 (talk) 20:46, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @CNMall41. Thank you for taking the time to review my request. I am sorry my request was not clear. It is also a little confusing because some sources are later in the section. I did not use them at every instance where information was taken from them to avoid a hodgepodge of references spread through the text. I have updated some parts of the request and highlighted where I have taken the information from the sources.
- Amit's research focuses on family firms, family offices (this talks about his research on family firms and family offices) and on business model innovation strategy (this is taken from a source cited later. I can add it here as well if that's preferred). His studies on family enterprises have centered on ownership, managerial practices, governance, wealth management, and on family offices.(This references talks about these in this sentence: Dr. Amit’s award winning research on family firms, which centers on issues that relate to ownership, management, control and governance of family businesses, on wealth management, and on family offices is widely cited. and this Dr. Amit’s current research and teaching interests center on family business management, governance, and finance, on Family wealth management, on venture capital and private equity investments, on entrepreneurship, on the design of innovative business models and on business strategy.) He has advised families on matters such as the establishment of family offices. (You are write the source says that the Alliance holds gatherings, and that he founded the Alliance. So I have removed 'hosting gatherings'. This source confirms this through this sentence: Amit has been studying and advising ultra-high net-worth (UHNW) families and their businesses for over 25 years. The Wharton management professor and co-founder of the Wharton Global Family Alliance says meeting these unique challenges most often falls to the family office, a strategic hub where financial management intersects with the needs and wants of family members who represent a range of interests, lifestyles, risk tolerances, tax situations, and more. In the U.S., single-family offices are typically set up by those with investable assets of $250 million or more.)[1]
- Amit's research has also focused on designing business models and on business strategy.(this source confirms this in the sentence: Dr. Amit’s current research and teaching interests center on family business management, governance, and finance, on Family wealth management, on venture capital and private equity investments, on entrepreneurship, on the design of innovative business models and on business strategy.) He has co-authored the book Business Model Innovation Strategy: Transformational Concepts and Tools for Entrepreneurial Leaders with Christoph Zott.[2]
- Amit's work has been widely cited, having received over 80,000 citations according to Google Scholar as of September 2025.[3]
- This is a clean version of the edit request:
- Amit's research focuses on family firms, family offices and on business model innovation strategy. His studies on family enterprises have centered on family enterprises have centered on ownership, managerial practices, governance, wealth management, and on family offices.[4][5]
- Amit's research has also focused on designing business models and on business strategy.[6] He has co-authored the book Business Model Innovation Strategy: Transformational Concepts and Tools for Entrepreneurial Leaders with Christoph Zott.[7]
- Amit's work has been widely cited, having received over 80,000 citations according to Google Scholar as of September 2025.[8]
- Yes, you will need to use WP:INCITE. One cannot assume a reference later on in the body supports a sentence in the beginning. I just checked your "clean version" and the same issues exist. The two sources you provided for the first two sentences do not address the context. To avoid confusion or having a long thread, I am going to close this request as "not done." Feel free to open a new request in a new section once you are able to cite the sources inline with the text you want changed. --CNMall41 (talk) 18:04, 13 September 2025 (UTC)
