    Overall: Could we consider saying something like ... that a plane flown by Ruth Reinhold was called "pilotless" because her height made it difficult for tower operators to see her in the cockpit??     @An anonymous username, not my real name: Thank you for the feedback, and I agree with your suggestion, I added it as ALT1. To your other comment, the source says she was "just about five feet", which I think suggests she was still below five feet in height. But I agree your more straight-forward wording works better.
