Qing Dynasty did not establish control over Sikkim

Why is there no mention of Nathu La and Cho La clashes?

There is a Wikipedia page for Nathu La and Cho La clashes but it is not linked to this page which I find odd. It would fit under the "protectorate" paragraph that covers the 1950s to 1970s, which currently skips over the "war" in 1967. Raven Monty (talk) 05:48, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Please ADD the term SUKKHIM in LIMBU language and Script. (Limbu: ᤙᤢᤰᤂᤡᤶ, Sukkhim in Limbu) Casadelpacifico (talk) 09:52, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

@Casadelpacifico: We can't, according to WP:NOINDICSCRIPT. As a side note, why are you POV-pushing "Limbu" everywhere? If the policy never exited, Devanagari would have been preferred for being the script of Nepali, one of the official and most commonly spoken language of Sikkim. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 21:33, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
If that's the wiki policy and being unaware, sure and we can accept that. And Yes to the side note, pushing Limbu in because the language has been accepted as official language in the State of Sikkim and Province of Koshi, however only this language has been under represented, removed or deleted if any that existed before and no work in citing as such has been done so far, whereas other larger language groups have been constantly and consistently being added, edited and updated without being deleted off by other contributors citing as an unknown or being different. Also working on editing and updating only in only Limbuwan areas of historic language range, because nobody are contributing to representing the language, which is still an extant but an endangered language. The language group has also been supressed by the majority group for far too long as well. Perhaps we should start the Wiki in the native language itself for better upliftment and representation, I suppose that's another matter. Finally and sincerely the objective is not to cause annoyance to you or any other fellow wiki contributors in such or any other way; as our goal is to work on honest updates, correct citing and proper editing where necessary on Limbu, Kirat group and other minority groups of the area as we continue the work. Cheers. Casadelpacifico (talk) 23:05, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
@Casadelpacifico: That's fine. Note that it is not about fellow editors' "annoyance" but abiding by policies and guidelines. I'd suggest you to read WP:BRD, and please go through the edit summaries posted by other users. Also, if there is scope to add other language scripts in Nepal-related articles, it would be neutral those as well. And yes, a Limbu language Wikipedia would be nice. Best wishes for the and happy editing. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:26, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
