This article should make it clear that a) light doesn't always travel and the speed of light and b) the speed of light isn't "the speed of light"
c is the cosmic speed limit that nothing that surpass. Light just travels at c in a vacuum. Serendipodous 23:14, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- The first six words in the article are "The speed of light in vacuum, ". Johnjbarton (talk) 23:21, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- My point is that c isn't the speed of light. c is a broader concept. It is the geomentric foundation of the universe. It determines how space warps. Serendipodous 23:24, 2 July 2025 (UTC)

Edit request : One more digit for travel time for a foot
The article currently lists one foot as 1.0 ns. With one more digit (1.02) it would be clear that there is no relation between the definition of a foot and the speed of light. There are other entries in the table that already have two digits after the dot, so its not a matter of uniformity. ~2025-41491-35 (talk) 14:41, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

There is a gap underneath the infobox in this article's source. Please remove it to make the page reader friendly. ~2026-27224-4 (talk) 17:10, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
Done As far as I can tell this issue is solely due to the infobox layout. For different browser widths different results will be seen. I moved the navbar down FWIW. Johnjbarton (talk) 17:50, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- what does FWIW mean? ~2026-27224-4 (talk) 16:13, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
