The Fourth → The Fourth (film) – I was WP:ASTONISHed that this didn't point to the same target as The Fourth of July, that being Independence Day (United States), but in retrospect I think this title should point to the disambiguation page, Fourth. - Oppose. The less-specific The Fourth should not be a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT, and nothing else at the dabpage is named "The Fourth". This is the primary topic. 162 etc. (talk) 02:16, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Google from England doesn't return any results for Independence Day so I don't think "The Fourth" alone should go to it but the DAB may be fine. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:44, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose as unnecessary WP:OVERPRECISION. This article is averaging only 2 views per day, so few readers are getting lost. Nothing else on the dab page is called "The Fourth", so the most we need is the newly added hatnote. Station1 (talk) 08:19, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- Support redirecting 'The Fourth' to the U.S. holiday. The Fourth of July national holiday in the U.S. should be the redirect for this title. Randy Kryn (talk) 14:08, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
- Support per nom. No primary topic here. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:42, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

- Oppose per 162 etc. and Station1. This article was created in February 2020, and I see no evidence that "The Fourth" or "the fourth" was created as a redirect by anyone from the beginning of Wikipedia in the early 2000s all the way to 2020. Yes, "The Fourth" can be considered shorthand for the Fourth of July, but without evidence that it's actually being significantly sought, I think a hatnote would be fine.
