Redirect
Why on earth does "signature tune" redirect here? They're different things entirely.Whotookthatguy 14:56, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Why is Batman “notable”?
The article says that the Batman theme tune was notable:
“some theme music uses orchestra scores or original music set mood for the show. One of the most notable of these is the Batman: The Animated Series theme song, which was drawn from the theme for the 1989 Batman film created by Danny Elfman.”
Why is it notable? The article doesn’t say what is special about it. I suspect it’s merely the case that the author really likes the tune. I have no objection to examples being given of good tunes, but I don’t think it should call the tune “notable” without explaining why. Grand Dizzy (talk) 22:28, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
January 2011 Citation Needed
It claims that Final Fantasy is notable but does not source it. This article does not source anything.--Tech-Chef (talk) 19:38, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
Additional citations
Why, what, where, and how does this article need additional citations for verification? Hyacinth (talk) 04:23, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
- We need sources discussing the idea of theme music, and sources mentioning the example theme songs given as notable. we know that beverly hilbillies has a theme song, all tv shows do, but why is it mentiond as an example? show sources75.61.135.151 (talk) 05:35, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

Love Theme
Removed
- Examples of this association [signature tune] include: the President of the United States with "Hail to the Chief"; Bob Hope with "Thanks for the Memory"; Billy Joel with "Piano Man"; Frank Sinatra with "Autumn in New York" and "My Way"; Liberace with "I'll Be Seeing You"; Alice Faye with "You'll Never Know"; Jack Benny with "Love in Bloom"; and Judy Garland with "Over the Rainbow".
I removed the above as uncited since August 2009. Hyacinth (talk) 06:23, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

Mission Impossible!
Merge Main title into Theme music
The Main title article defines its topic to be Theme music played during the opening credits of a film. There is too little material and too much overlap of information to justify separate articles. Most of the content of Main title could perhaps become a section within Theme music. jnestorius(talk) 17:18, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
- Jnestorius, this has gone unopposed for a couple months. Is it something you're still interested in? If so, you should be good to carry out a WP:BOLDMERGE. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 18:25, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- I should get round to it in the next week or so. jnestorius(talk) 20:30, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
Hi i agree with your conclusion and Support the merge. Main title needs to moove into Theme music. Main title is basically just the opening theme over the credits, so it fits better as a short section there instead of another short separate article.Happypenguins82 (talk) 20:45, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
