Talk:Tortell
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I just came upon this article, previously being unfamiliar with tortell. Here in New Orleans, Louisiana we have a traditional king cake throughout the Carnival season. I always hear that our version came over from France, but this description and photograph are MUCH closer to what we have in New Orleans than any French version I've seen. Interesting! -- Infrogmation 18:43, 4 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Merger proposal
The articles Tortell (linked to ca:Tortell, fr:Gâteau des rois and oc:Corona dels reis), Bolo-rei (linked to pt:Bolo-rei), and Rosca de reyes (linked to es:Roscón de Reyes) should be merged. Catalan tortell de reis, French gâteau des rois, Occitan corona dels reis, Portuguese bolo-rei, and Spanish roscón de reyes are doughnut-shaped king cake varieties that can be considered as a single category (unlike fr:Galette des rois, which is a different king cake variety.) --Comedora (talk) 03:20, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
