I deleted a bunch of market-y language and things that did not meet notability (Not convinced we need the history of their product that is really thinly veiled praise of said product). Also deleted things that needed a citation as of 2014 (number of customers they have) but hadn't been updated and I couldn't find. Also deleted the copious positive press articles linked here as 'citations,' leaving what was necessary 141.161.133.101 (talk) 21:39, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

Seeking confirmation of a connection to David Silver (roboticist)
An article that was recently created may be relevant to this entry, but more information is needed to confirm that the David Silver who co-founded this company is the same one discussed in that entry. If anyone can give further input on this, please do so. Schol-R-LEA (talk) 14:05, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
Requesting Edits - Company Rebrand/Name Change - COI Request
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.
What I think should be changed (include citations):
Hi, fellow editors! I work for Tungsten Automation, formerly Kofax. I wanted to disclose my conflict of interest here. I suggest a page move and/or some content updates to reflect a company name change/rebrand.
1) Kofax changed its name to Tungsten Automation and announced on January 16, 2024[1].
2) Sidebar update: # of employees cited at "2,200"[2] from the same press release.
4) Sidebar change: The website now www.tungstenautomation.com
5) References to "Kofax" in other sections (Intro, History section, Products paragraph, Operations paragraph) could simply be replaced with "Tungsten Automation".
Suggestions:
Intro: "Kofax Inc." --> "Tungsten Automation Corporation"
History: a) "Kofax was founded in 1985 as Kofax Image Products by engineers Dean.." --> "Tungsten Automation was founded in 1985 as Kofax Image Products by engineers Dean"
b) Add a line, "In January 2024, Kofax changed its brand name to Tungsten Automation.[3]"
Products: section mention of "Kofax" --> "Tungsten Automation" and the line "As of 2020, it had approximately 2,000 employees in 30 countries around the world.[1]" could be changed to "As of 2024, it had approximately 2,200 employees in 32 countries around the world.[4]" (same press release, about section at the bottom)
6) Under Products section, the product ReadSoft Online is now named AP Essentials (Finding it hard to cite a source to prove to you, but Googling "readsoft online" brings up a sponsored ad about the name change, "tungstenautomation.com - Tungsten AP Essentials(tm) - Formerly Readsoft Online(tm)") and going to any Readsoft Online product page brings a user to AP Essentials.
Why it should be changed:
Kofax is no longer the company name. According to the press release and website information/FAQ, the company did not go through a merger or acquisition; the name simply changed to Tungsten Automation as a pure company rebrand.
"The decision to adopt a new name reflects the growth of our company and the need for a brand that more closely aligns with our present identity, capabilities, and aspirations. From our roots as a leading document capture company, we've evolved to a prominent global leader in Intelligent Automation."

Hello TAEric! I've made most of the requested edits provided above. As for the logo and the building picture, you will need to upload them yourself to Wikimedia commons. Here's the link you can use:
Once you have both uploaded, please share the links with me, and I'll set them live. Be careful to read all of the Wikimedia Commons agreement information and be sure you agree to it before finishing the process. I'll keep an eye out for the info here, or you can contact me on my talk page. Thanks! LaesaMajestas (talk) 18:40, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
Great job and thank you @LaesaMajestas for taking the request. I went ahead and uploaded to the Commons. Thanks!

Removing Kofax Logo from the infobox
Hey friends,
I can't seem to figure out how to remove the Kofax logo from the infobox. Can anyone help me out? LaesaMajestas (talk) 18:45, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
@LaesaMajestas:, {{Infobox company}} pull some values from Wikidata if the values aren't specified on English Wikipedia. As there is no new logo available for Wikipedia to use yet, just leave it with the old logo until TAEric provides a new one (they did say they wanted to "upload as non-free content"; the company needs to make a free version available if they want it on Wikipedia). COI Request - Small edit to clarify company ownership
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.
Hi editors, I'd like your help updating the second paragraph. A small change to make it more clear who acquired this company. Thanks!
What I think should be changed:
The second paragraph reads, "Since 2017, the company has been an independent portfolio company owned by private equity firm Thoma Bravo.[3] In 2022, Clearlake Capital and TA Associates completed their acquisition of the company from Thoma Bravo."
It should be changed to:
Tungsten Automation is an independent portfolio company owned by private equity firms Clearlake Capital and TA Associates.
Why it should be changed: The intial wording today makes it sound like the company is owned by Thoma Bravo still. There isn't a point to mention them anymore or include dates.
References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button):
Thanks in advance!

Question: How does "completed their acquisition of the company from Thoma Bravo" sound like it's still owned by Thoma Bravo? PK650 (talk) 23:41, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
It's more about the first sentence, "Since 2017, the company has been an independent portfolio company owned by private equity firm Thoma Bravo." contradicting the "completed their acquisition" sentence, IMO. @PK650TAEric (talk) 16:39, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
Done I see. Amended to reflect past tense of timeline and acquisition. PK650 (talk) 02:01, 14 July 2025 (UTC)

What I think should be changed (include citations)
Hello editors! I am an employee of Tungsten Automation and disclose this per WP:PAID.
Please replace the entire Products section with the following updated text:
Tungsten Automation develops intelligent automation software for businesses, for applications ranging from print management, to process automation and document/PDF management.[1] Its products are grouped into four categories: Document & Workflow Automation, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (AP & AR) Automation, Print & Workplace Automation, and PDF & eSignature.
The company's Document & Workflow Automation platform supports digital workflows and includes the following components:
RPA, robotic process automation software that uses code-free software bots to automate repetitive, labor-intensive, multi-step tasks across systems and data sources.[3]
The company's AP & AR Automation platform includes the following:
Tungsten InvoiceAgility, an AI-powered Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) automation software designed to streamline invoice processing, ensure global e-invoicing and tax compliance, and accelerate invoice cycles.[4]
Tungsten Process Director, an SAP-embedded platform that centralizes, automates, and controls all document- and request-driven accounts payable processes, from invoice capture through approval and posting, within a single, consistent workflow in SAP.[4]
The company's Print & Workplace Automation business area develops software to secure print management and governance across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments, including the following:
Printix, a secure, cloud-based print management platform for centralized control and visibility.[5]
ControlSuite, a secure, fully integrated capture and print workflow suite for content-aware process intelligence across on-prem and cloud environments.[6]
The company's PDF and eSignature software includes products for managing digital documents and signing workflows. Key products are:
Power PDF, software for creating, converting, editing, sharing and e-signing PDF files, offered in multiple editions for individual users, small businesses and enterprise deployments.[7]
Tungsten SignDoc, e-signature software for digital signing workflows and signature verification.[8]
OmniPage, standalone optical character recognition (OCR) software for converting scanned and image-based documents into searchable and editable files. OmniPage Capture SDK is a software development kit for adding OCR, document classification, forms processing and related capture capabilities to third-party applications.[9]
Why it should be changed: The Products section was last updated during the company's rebrand from Kofax to Tungsten Automation and no longer accurately reflects the current product portfolio or structure. Four products now offered by the company are absent from the article entirely (Tungsten InvoiceAgility, Tungsten Process Director, Printix, and OmniPage). Descriptions for existing products are outdated, and several citations reference legacy sources that predate the rebrand. The proposed revision reorganizes the section into the company's current four product categories and replaces outdated citations with current, reliable third-party sources (BusinessWire press releases and independent industry analyst coverage from Quocirca and Industry Analysts).
