Wuhan Metropolitan Area intercity railway → Wuhan metropolitan area intercity railway – or perhaps Wuhan Metropolitan Area Intercity Railway. After some searching, I doubt this topic has any generally accepted WP:COMMONNAME in English-language sources. None of the sources that are cited in the article are written in English, and practically all of the English-language sources that I could find about this topic using a web search were derived from Wikipedia, suffering from WP:CITOGENESIS and not worth consulting. Nearly all article titles about some "[Placename] metropolitan area" somewhere use lowercase for the "metropolitan area" part of the term (and there are about 500 such titles). As far as I can tell, "Wuhan Metropolitan Area" (a red link) is not a proper name and just refers to the metropolitan area around Wuhan. Article titles should be in WP:SENTENCECASE unless they are a proper name. On the other hand, if this is the proper name of the railway, then I believe the article title should use WP:TITLECASE and every word should be capitalized instead of only three of them. The article previously used title case until an undiscussed move in 2017. My personal impression is that the editor in 2017 didn't go far enough, and should have lowercased everything but "Wuhan". — BarrelProof (talk) 17:59, 24 October 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. --Warm Regards, Abhiimanyu7 talk 13:04, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
- 'Support Wuhan metropolitan area intercity railway per nomination, as "metropolitan area" is most commonly used in its lowercase form, there is no reason to believe that this is the WP:COMMONNAME or WP:PROPERNAME for the railway. Katzrockso (talk) 23:15, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
