GB Snowsport[1], formerly the British Ski and Snowboard Federation,[2] is the governing body of ski and snowboarding in the United Kingdom. It replaced Snowsport GB, which ceased operation in 2010.[3][4] It is a full member of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS),[5] the British Olympic Association and the British Paralympic Association,[6] with origins in Ski Club of Great Britain. It sends athletes to Winter Olympic Games, and Winter Paralympic Games including medallists freestyle skier Isabel Atkin,[7] para skiers Menna Fitzpatrick,[8] Richard Burt (skier),[9] Jade Etherington[10] and Kelly Gallagher,[11] para ice sledger Denise Smith,[12] and snowboarders Jenny Jones[13][14][15][16] and Billy Morgan.[17] The organisation has national constituent associations Snowsport Cymru/Wales,[18] Snowsport England,[19] and Snowsport Scotland.[20]
