Machado competed in the women's 68 kg event at the 2019 World Junior Wrestling Championships, where she finished seventh.[1] In the same season, she won the gold medal at the Pan American Junior Championships.[1]
In 2022, she won the silver medal in the women's 68 kg event at the South American Games in Asunción.[1][3][4]
At the 2024 Pan-American Olympic Qualification Tournament, Machado finished third in the women's 68 kg event.[1] Later that year, she moved up to 72 kg and competed at the 2024 World Wrestling Championships, where she placed 13th.[1][5] In early 2024, she also won the women's 72 kg title at the Grand Prix de France Henri Deglane.[1]
In 2025, Machado moved up to the 76 kg division and was selected for Brazil's senior team at the Pan American Championships.[2] She won the silver medal in the women's 76 kg event there.[1] During the 2025 international season, Machado won gold medals at the 2025 Polyák Imre & Varga János Memorial Tournament, the 2025 Poland Open, and the Ion Corneanu & Ladislau Simon Memorial.[1][6][7]
On 18 August 2025, Machado was provisionally suspended in a case managed by the International Testing Agency on behalf of United World Wrestling. The ITA listed the asserted anti-doping rule violation as Article 2.1, "Presence of 19-norandrosterone", with a violation date of 19 July 2025.[8][9]
