Pan American Games appearances (overview)

Uruguay is scheduled to compete at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile from October 20 to November 5, 2023. This will be Uruguay's 19th appearance at the Pan American Games, having competed at every edition of the Games.

On 9 October 2023, the Uruguayan Olympic Committee officially named the team of 179 athletes (103 men and 76 women) competing in twenty nine sports.[1]

Footballer Rodrigo Chagas and boxer Camila Piñeiro were the country's flagbearers during the opening ceremony.[2][3] Meanwhile, sailor Fernando Becerra and basque pelota athlete Leonella Acosta were the country's flagbearers during the closing ceremony.
