I grew up in Blackwood, a town in the South Wales Valleys, born to a Scottish father and a Welsh mother. I currently live in Pōneke, but previously lived in various parts of London for nearly five years. I am queer and trans and extremely proud to be.

I am a bartender by trade. I've been working in bars for four years now and I love it. My favourite drink to make is an espresso martini, purely and simply because the end result looks awesome, and I can't really consume citrus so it's a quick break from that. They are really annoying during a rush, however. Personally, I don't really drink cocktails, give me a Guinness or a nice IPA and I'm a happy lass.

I am a musician. I can play a wide variety of instruments, including but not limited to the bass, ukulele, trumpet, trombone, french horn, recorder, and keyboards.

I used to play bass in a thrash metal band when I was a teenager and still living in Wales. We frequently gigged in the South Wales, South West England, and West Midlands regions. During my tenure, we travelled as far afield as Sussex for Byline Festival 2018. We also supported Alien Weaponry during their 2019 tour, opening for them at their first UK headline gig in Fuel, Cardiff. I left this band in September 2020 to move to London.

My favourite bands include Gojira, Mastodon, Rush, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and Primus. My favourite album is Gojira's The Way of All Flesh.

This year I'm listening to an album a day. The list only includes studio and live albums, and excludes EPs and compilations.

I love trains and railways, particularly those of Great Britain. I actually started to edit Wikipedia because I learnt about the Beeching Axe and wanted to write an article about the closed railway station in my hometown. I love learning about the railways of other countries and have gone down a slight rabbithole of the railways in New Zealand. I advocate for more accessible rail travel and travelling by train where feasible.

I cycle, I ride a gravel bike and plan to get more into bikepacking. I can't and continue to refuse to learn how to drive and love cycling infrastructure and public transport as a result.
