Very bad things about wikipedia
- Admins are actually allowed to block user to win a content dispute although it's (obviously) formally forbidden
- Apparently some users like to delete articles to experience the pleasure of being able to hurt someone
- Completely discretionary decisions of two or three admins can result in severe limitation for your freedom to contribute or to express your opinions:
- Milestone principles of liberal thought like presumption of innocence do not hold in this wikipedia:
- you can be indefinitely blocked because 4 arbitrators on 5 think there is a greater than 50% probability that you are a sockpuppet of someone else
- you can be banned for 1 year because some arbitrators think that other people which are geographically close to you are "likely sockpuppets" created by you. This is how they try to justify:
- "It is impossible, generally speaking, to prove on a technical level that he's continuing to do [abusive sockpuppetry]—it's not all that difficult to game the system such that there is no technical evidence of guilt, and perhaps even technical evidence of innocence—so we're left with comparing the accounts' behavior" (Translation: "since we are not able to prove that you created a sockpuppet we will ban you just because we personally think that you did it")
- According to the policy any admin can on its own discretion block you indefinitely if he (for any reason) believe you are a sockpuppet of someone.
- Possibly abusive sanctions cannot be appealed or reviewed by the comunity if at any moment there are no more replies to the appeal discussion for a period of 24 hours
