Trouted

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

You have been trouted for: I love your button The goat with a horn on his head (talk) 22:06, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

Hey, just wondering, have you played The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild? The goat with a horn on his head (talk) 22:10, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
@The goat with a horn on his head Yeah I have! I got it first for the Wii U, now I have it for the Switch. One of my favourite games of all time by far! signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 23:22, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
Same. Have you tried ToTK? In solidarityWikipedian12512 (Talking is fine | contribs) 15:13, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
@Wikipedian12512(alt) I have; I played it so much I forgot how to use the Breath rune menu when I started playing it again. The ability to build things was such a nice feature too; I don't think I ever used a horse again once I built a hoverbike lol. What was your favourite part? signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 13:52, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
I made a tank. Take those Yiga metal things in the depths, add four big wheels to the bottom, then add a wheel sideways on the top with a cannon. Oh, fun trick: In the "Proving grounds: Lights out" shrine, you can just steal some rubies every blood moon.
I also made a large war aircraft that allowed me to commit mass genocides with a few cannons, a fully upgraded battery, and a whole bunch of the large core thingies, and it allows me to force a blood moon in just two days. In solidarityWikipedian12512 (Talking is fine | contribs) 14:02, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
And the horses are much better, though I prefer aircraft. In solidarityWikipedian12512 (Talking is fine | contribs) 14:02, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
Oh jeez didn't even know about the Lights Out shrine glitch! If I ever get really desperate, there's that bow/shield glitch that works across versions, so I don't get strapped for rubies anymore. I will agree; being able to decimate everything with Zonai stuff really helped with blood moon farming; though I never really got up to being able to build really massive contraptions, there is just so much to explore. I'll have to try that vehicle though; I never thought to repurpose those machines. We won't speak about the things that the Koroks have been through on my save... signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 14:15, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
The cannon gliders are hard to pilot at first. I had to get ~3 hours of practice in the Zonai machine proving grounds (in Akkala) before even trying my genocide run. In solidarityWikipedian12512 (Talking is fine | contribs) 14:24, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
Yeah they are kind of hard to get the feel of; I know for a fact that several hundred NPCs would be goners if they were the same as Skyrim NPCs. signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 17:47, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

Why did you revert?

Hello there, @A Random Hylian! Why did you revert in Diff/1358557932? I am cleaning up after a very prolific AI editor. See:

Can you please self revert and restore the redirect? gurkubondinn 13:20, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

Facepalm Facepalm So sorry, I didn't realize! Thought that I reverted an IP edit that was disrupting just above it in RC patrol. I'll fix it right now. signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 13:22, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
No worries, thanks for fixing it! :) gurkubondinn 13:23, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
Not a problem! Thanks for letting me know so quickly! signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 13:24, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for your help!

I appreciate you helping with the Pehlivanmeydani/Sporwiki cleanup. After many hours of putting up LLMPRODs, I was ready to cry when they started vanishing.... Nice to know there are editors out there backing up the rather overloaded team at AINB. M kuhner (talk) 15:51, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

June 2026

Hello, I have seen you have reverted a number of edits by an IP user updating chart positions, see Architects, Breaking Benjamin, Motionless in White, and Three Days Grace.

While it might appear that the user made these edits without providing a source, there is no need to warn them for updating chart numbers, as the source is already provided at the top of the column, and includes the updated numbers.

Thanks! :) Tesco250 (talk) 21:06, 13 June 2026 (UTC)

@Tesco250: Thanks for the tips! I'll make sure to be more careful next time.
And I'll trout Self-trout for that. signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 21:07, 13 June 2026 (UTC)

Why reverted?

I change the URL for a Portuguese club to the correct one, the old one is a parked domain that's no longer used by the club https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C.F._Estrela_da_Amadora Geezdude20 (talk) 22:00, 13 June 2026 (UTC)

Shoot my bad I do RC patrol and sometimes it looks suspicious. I also just started using a new vandalism fighting tool, and I'm just starting to get used to it. If you haven't fixed it yet, I'd be glad to revert my edit. Thanks for letting me know. signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 23:13, 13 June 2026 (UTC)

Gimli Glider

I've reverted your edits to the Gimli Glider article for a few reasons. First, you've added references to the final accident report, which is 106 pages long, without providing any page numbers for verification. You've done the same for the Mayday episode, again without providing any detail about where in that episode the cited material appears. Next, you've changed the article to assert that a fuel truck technician was the person responsible for miscalculating the fuel load, and that Captain Pearson entered the fuel load into the FMC. The cited source, and the accident report, state that maintenance crew and the flight crew performed the calculations, and that Captain Pearson was heavily involved with the calculations. I was not able to find any support for the statement that Pearson was the person who entered the incorrect amount into the FMC. Finally, you removed a {{Failed verification}} tag associated with the Soaring Magazine reference (I misidentified it as a blog in my edit summary). The article states facts that are attributed to that reference that do not appear in that source, which is why that tag was added.

After making these edits, you nominated the article for Good Article status, even though from all appearances, you have not made any other contributions to the content of the article. This is known as a "drive-by" nomination. The instructions at the top of the Wikipedia:Good article nominations page state that "any significant contributor to an article may nominate the article", but your three edits fall short of this level of involvement. The Wikipedia:Good article instructions page, at the top, states, "Nominators should be familiar with the article's subject and cited sources, and must have contributed significantly to the article: they are either the author of at least 10% of the article, or are ranked in the top five in authorship." Again, you don't qualify. Please keep these guidelines in mind before making any nominations in the future. At a glance, the article needs a significant amount of work, particularly with references, to meet the Good article criteria. Thank you, RecycledPixels (talk) 07:21, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

Sorry for making more work for you RecycledPixels, I didn't mean to do a "drive-by". I took time and read it and thought that it could be brought up to GA status, but I suppose that the three edits don't work in my favour. It was a first time nomination anyway, but thanks for the feedback, and I'll be sure to take it into account in the future. signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 11:10, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
And I did almost the exact same thing on Chernobyl disaster. In solidarityWikipedian12512 (Talking is fine | contribs) 14:04, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
The key thing to remember, and there are many who make this mistake, is that GA Nominations aren't a place to nominate an article for improvement. You're expected to have already improved the article up to at least the GA guidelines by the time you nominate it, and the reviewer's job is only to provide an independent verification that it meets those criteria when they check it. Thanks, RecycledPixels (talk) 14:36, 19 June 2026 (UTC)

Block notices

In general, please leave that to the blocking admins. They often have very good reason to not add a block message, see for example WP:DENY. Thanks. Lynch44 22:50, 21 June 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for that, didn't know about that, I'll keep that in mind next time signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 23:20, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
