Hello Al Jazira Front. Please see WP:GS/AA - topics related to Armenia and Azerbaijan are under an extended confirmed restriction. You are not allowed to edit these topics as you're not an extended confirmed user. Another important part of WP:GS/AA: “Non-extended-confirmed editors may use the "Talk:" namespace to post constructive comments and make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided they are not disruptive. Should disruption occur on "Talk:" pages, administrators may take enforcement actions described in "B" or "C" below”. HistoryofIran (talk) 17:39, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hello. I’m aware of the WP:GS/AA restriction and I am not attempting to edit the article itself. As the policy explicitly states, non-extended-confirmed editors are allowed to use the Talk namespace for constructive, sourced comments and edit requests, which is what I am doing here.
- My comments are focused on presenting verifiable secondary sources and alternative scholarly interpretations for discussion, not on enforcing changes. Noting that some editors may approach this topic predominantly from a single national historiographical perspective is not an accusation, but a normal part of content discussion on contested historical subjects. Wikipedia policy encourages balancing viewpoints through reliable sources, not discouraging discussion itself.
- I will keep my participation confined to policy-compliant, non-disruptive talk-page comments. If consensus requires third-party input, I am fully open to that process. Al Jazira Front (talk) 19:21, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi Al Jazira Front! I noticed that you've made several edits in order to restore a version of Mu'awiya I's Southern Campaigns (658–660). The impulse to repeatedly undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure that you're aware of Wikipedia's edit warring policy. Repeatedly undoing the changes made by other users in a back-and-forth fashion like this is disallowed, even if you feel what you're doing is justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages in order to try to reach a consensus with the other editors involved. If you are unable to come to an agreement at Talk:Mu'awiya I's Southern Campaigns (658–660), please use one of the dispute resolution options that are available in order to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of repeatedly reverting other editors' changes can help you avoid getting drawn into edit wars. Use the talk page and seek consensus (WP:TALK, WP:CONSENSUS). Avoid edit warring (WP:EW). Veritasphere (talk) 04:01, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for the notice and the reminder. I understand the edit warring policy and will refrain from further reverts. I will continue the discussion on the article talk page and seek consensus or third-party input if needed. Much appreciated. Al Jazira Front (talk) 12:17, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
