Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue on the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Magnolia677 (talk) 23:21, 14 January 2026 (UTC)

Thanks. I noticed you reverted the information I added about notable residents of Ypsilanti. I included it because of the notice at the top of the page about explaining how individuals are connected to the community (born, raised, or lived there). I realize now that guidance applies to the individual biography pages, not this list, so I’ll avoid making those kinds of edits going forward.Braneyac (talk) 00:56, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Magnolia677. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ypsilanti, Michigan, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 12:04, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

@Magnolia677 I’ve raised several issues on the talk page regarding the Ypsilanti, Michigan article, which is currently rated C-class. My goal has been to help improve the page overall. I noticed that some material I flagged as needing citations on the talk page (such as the Ypsi Greek Theatre’s 1966 season) was removed rather than sourced. I think it would be more constructive to look for reliable references where possible instead of removing the information outright. Braneyac (talk) 13:59, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
@Braneyac: Please explain on article talk page why a one season-long 1960s college performance using a bunch of non-notable actors needs inclusion in that fast-improving article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 15:47, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
@Magnolia677 there is no need to continue the conversation here, as we both agreed that matters regarding that article belong on that talk page and not on our individual talk pages. Braneyac (talk) 16:21, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
@Magnolia677 Please discuss on article talk page. Thank you. Braneyac (talk) 15:45, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
