Hi Catherine! I had some issues with my page but it should be all set now, sorry for the inconvenience! User:Jillgeib {talk} —Preceding undated comment added 13:34, 4 April 2012 (UTC).

Hey to you too!

I'm still getting used to this whole Wiki thing. It's Ricky if you couldn't tell. I sent a message to someone a while back but I thought to get back to you while I was up and yes I totally forgot to send in my stuff before work tonight so I hope he accepts it still, I really didn't mean to! I like a lot of stuff punk rock is my favorite and since coming to college I started getting into dubstep, house, and other forms of electronic music. How about yourself? Topics

You've got some great ideas for topics - specifically about food. I'm always hungry as well. Food has always been a centerpiece of life - it is where we gather, it is what we think about, it is not only essential but it is something that we try to enjoy multiple times a day. I'm sure you'll find amazing awesome stuff about food. As for your links, try linking to the WIkipedia page rather than an "external link" - rather than using the whole URL just use the stuff past the /wiki/ - such as [[Pokémon]] rather than [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pokémon]] Debaser42 (talk) 19:12, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

Citing sources

Hi Catherine, about citing sources, here are some points:

  • I assume you know where to cite from; a book, journal, a reliable website (not blogs), a newspaper, or a magazine. Read this for more info on types of sources.
  • Now, the citing part is very easy: click on the "Edit" button, and edit the article as you normally would. Click on the place where you want to insert the cite.
  • On the top of the editing box, you will see a small button which says "Cite". Click on that, and you will get a small menu.
  • Click on the box which says "Templates", and select the type of source you have: Web, news, book or journal.
  • You will get a neat box wherein you will be asked for the details. Fill all the details you know, leave the rest blank. Click "Insert".
  • Your cite is ready to use. Just save the page.
  • In the end of the page, just add the text: ==References== {{reflist}}

After you've done this, your text will look something like:

The photograph featured on the front cover of the single was taken by photographer Emmet Gowin in Danville, Virginia in 1969.[1]
