WP:GS/AA

Hello Cultureboss. Please see WP:GS/AA - topics related to Armenia and Azerbaijan are under an extended confirmed restriction. You are not allowed to edit these topics as you're not an extended confirmed user. Another part of WP:GS/AA: “Non-extended-confirmed editors may use the "Talk:" namespace to post constructive comments and make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided they are not disruptive. Should disruption occur on "Talk:" pages, administrators may take enforcement actions described in "B" or "C" below” HistoryofIran (talk) 13:43, 31 October 2025 (UTC)

Who gave you the right to delete my comment without discussing it with me? I’m just curious. According to whom and based on what was my comment considered inappropriate? I did not make any edits related to Azerbaijan. I commented on the use of the term “Pers” and requested that it be changed to “Turkoman.” I ask again who gives you the permission to delete my comment as if I have no right to discuss it? Disregard of WP:GS/AA and more concerning matters

@Rosguill: Sorry to bother you again. There seems to be an upsurge of cases like these at the moment;

This is Cultureboss's comment right after they were reverted and told of WP:GS/AA and being reverted. Very confrontational, and showing that they did not even read WP:GS/AA at all

After that, they thought they could engage in WP:TENDENTIOUS editing about the Safavids somewhere else, using a citation not even remotely about them to make it go against its main article Safavid Iran

And some good ole personal attacks;

Around this same time, they went to Reddit to release their anger towards me. Over there, as any other mature person, they used the LGBGT flag in an attempt to "insult" me; "see WP:NPA see WP:GSAa 🥹🥹🥹🥹🇮🇷🏳️‍🌈"

In fact, looking at their posts, it seems that they nothing but spend their time writing anti-Iranian remarks, obviously not going to link their Reddit profile per WP:OUTING, but I think this is still worthwhile mentioning:

  • "Why are all persians idiots?"
  • "it kinda shows your mind is still stuck in iranian propaganda"
  • "the claim that the safavids were an iranian national state literally was invented by fascist german panarayanists in the 20th century"

And right now they are still disregarding WP:GS/AA as we speak, treating Talk:Safavid Iran as just another Reddit comment section; apparently this page follows your personal views.

Based on all this, it seems they are here to release their anger as well as hatred towards Iranians rather than be a net positive. I genuinely fail to see what use such an hateful person is to Wikipedia. HistoryofIran (talk) 23:38, 10 December 2025 (UTC)

Looking at Cultureboss's contributions history, the first Oct 10 edit, and the first Oct 31 edit are GS/AA violations; I don't think the rest are. The invitations to engage off-site are inappropriate, but similarly I'm not going to consider any offsite evidence; for that, go to ARBCOM.
Thus, as there don't appear to have been any violations of GS/AA since October, I don't think there's a basis for me to hand out a unilateral sanction here.
Cultureboss, all of that having been said, I would recommend that you read WP:ECREXPLAIN and dial down the hostility. Comments like this are not appropriate and will get you blocked if continued.
If you are dead-set continuing to edit parts of Safavid history outside of Azerbaijan after reading ECREXPLAIN, be precise in the changes that you suggest. If that's adding mentions of Qizilbash or Kizilbash, be specific about where and how. If that's retitling the page, I do think that would be crossing into GS/AA territory so I'd recommend holding off on that, but once you're extended-confirmed the appropriate way to do that is to open a move discussion (and come prepared with citations to sources that back your suggestion). signed, Rosguill talk 01:44, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
Alright, I’ll be positive from now on Cultureboss (talk) 04:37, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
