Ship page moves
I noticed you've been moving ship pages to remove the ship prefix, citing WP:NCSHIP. While some ship articles don't have prefixes, many do, and it's not productive to remove them from the title, especially when multiple ships have the same name. Moreover, removing the ship prefix (indicating that it's a ship) but leaving the parenthethical qualifier as just the launch year is confusing, especially when non-ship articles use the same base name. Please stop making these moves, they are not called for by WP:NCSHIP. Cheers, Mdewman6 (talk) 03:58, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
- WP:NCSHIPS is pretty clear, prefixes or suffixes should only be used where there is a need. Emethigg (talk) 22:46, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
- I would recommend you revert your mass move of hundreds of pages that were moved without discussion (WP:RMUM). WP:NCSHIP says prefixes in titles are optional, not that they can't be used or should be removed if in use. Please revert your undiscussed mass moves and open a discussion.
