Medical COI editor
Hello, please consider some kind of block on Maryhook97. On the last section of their fairly long talk page, I asked them to provide a clear answer to my question about a possible connection with an author; they certainly haven't done that and have continued their current editing pattern (though today's edits seem OK so far). Their response on their talk page and one on an AFD I started seem suspiciously similar and have a very different writing style from their edits to an earlier AFD, which make me suspect AI use in the current talk page responses. Thanks! Graham87 (talk) 04:48, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks Graham87, I've left a note on their talk page. I'm reluctant to bring down the banhammer since they have edited constructively on other topics and are at least groping toward making a COI disclosure, but obviously that may change if the problems continue. Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello Extraordinary Writ:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
- If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the mailing list or alternatively to opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page.

Arbitration case opened
You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Gun control 2. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Gun control 2/Evidence; private evidence may be sent to arbcom-en-b
wikimedia.org. Additional parties may be proposed during the first week of the evidence phase. Please add your evidence by August 15, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Gun control 2/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Party guide/Introduction. For the Arbitration Committee, GoldRomean (talk) 18:11, 1 August 2026 (UTC)
