ARBECR
per the edit notice placed by another here , you cannot edit anything on israel-palestine conflict on either talk page or article space, broadly construed, until you hit WP:XC. you can only do well-formatted WP:EDITREQUESTs
SFR, an WP:ARBCOM user, has also warned you as well. Bluethricecreamman (talk) 00:55, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- Well, that is the essence of the edit. In my opinion it has nothing to do with Israel-Palestine conflict, hence I removed the framing "pro-Israeli advocates" and therefore it also does not fall under WP:ARBECR. The links provided there did not support that framing as pointed out by other users as well. The page itself is only semi-protected. Fennecfoxxx (talk) 06:51, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- Your claim is that an edit in a section called 'Coverage of the Gaza war' has nothing to do with the Israel-Palestine conflict and therefore does not fall under WP:ARBECR. That's not a good argument. If you can't follow ARBECR your account will probably be blocked. That's how it works. It's easy to follow the rules because there are 7 million articles. - Yes, the paragraph in question has something to do with his coverage of the Gaza war, but not with Israel-Palestine conflict itself.
- The change was already implemented by a different user, who has 500 edits anyway, so this discussion is rather pointless. Fennecfoxxx (talk) 07:37, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- The point of the discussion is to ensure that you comply with ARBECR going forward or else your account will likely be blocked. 'Something to do with' is enough of a relationship. The restrictions are based on the notion of edits related to the topic area 'broadly construed'. Continuing to dispute it is a bad strategy. Just following the rules is a good strategy. - Everything has something to do with everything. If Hasan Piker is viewed as "something to do with Israel-Palestine conflict" why not just put his page under extended protection altogether. Fennecfoxxx (talk) 08:08, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- if there is a doubt, then dont do the edit. you have been now warned at least three times. the restrictions on this area are enforced strongly by admins and further edits in the topic area would indicate a willful disregard of the rules. Bluethricecreamman (talk) 13:15, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- I don’t believe you have the authority to issue warnings, but I do appreciate your concern. As previously mentioned, if there are ongoing issues with bad-faith edits on the Hasan Piker page (though I don’t consider mine to be such, given its recent implementation), I suggest considering a request for extended protection. If you continue attempting to intimidate me and hinder my ability to contribute, I will not hesitate to raise the matter at WP:ANI. Fennecfoxxx (talk) 13:26, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
