Ferrari 360 designer

Information icon Hello, I'm Ybsone, and welcome to Wikipedia. I appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Ferrari 360, it appears that you added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. it seems that you are jumping to conclusion based on the fact that the chief of design is signed on the patent papers. Ferrari F40 US patent says Fioravanti, but the designer was Camardella/Brovarone.YBSOne (talk) 17:25, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

Hello Ybsone,
Your recent edits do not include any verifiable citations supporting the claim that Goran was the designer. Any connection to Pininfarina appears to be limited to employment, not authorship. All official Pininfarina materials consistently credit Lorenzo, and this is also reflected in the United States design patent for the Ferrari 360, as well as the sources already provided.
Furthermore, there are no corresponding design patents for the Ferrari 456 GT or the 550 Maranello that attribute authorship to Camardella/Brovarone. If you are asserting otherwise, you are expected to provide reliable, independent sources supporting that claim. In the absence of such evidence, these assertions cannot be included. If you are able to locate patents or credible sources that do not credit Lorenzo, please present them for review.
As it stands, your changes are not supported by reliable sources and fall into disruptive editing. Looking at your contribution history and user page, there appears to be a pattern of bias, particularly in relation to Serbian nationals, along with repeated additions of unsourced or weakly sourced material.
If you believe Goran should be credited, you need to provide strong, independent, and verifiable sources. By the same standard, you would also need to account for other employees who worked under Lorenzo, rather than selectively attributing authorship.
You are expected to follow Wikipedia’s core content policies, including verifiability, neutral point of view, and no original research.
Continuing to add unsourced or misleading information, or ignoring these policies, may be treated as vandalism and could lead to administrative action.
Please review the existing sources carefully before making further edits. Your talk page already shows that these concerns have been raised multiple times and not properly addressed. Ferrari360OG (talk) 21:11, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
For clarity, both relevant U.S. design patents—Des. 356,982 and Des. 389,436—identify Lorenzo Ramaciotti as the inventor: USD356982S and USD389436S.
Accordingly, I remain satisfied that my earlier description of Ramaciotti as the design director was correct in substance. These cars were the product of a collaborative design process involving more than one person, and design direction should not be confused with sole styling authorship. Nevertheless, I have revised the wording on the article to reduce the likelihood of further dispute and to make that distinction clearer. That change was made in the interest of precision and consensus, not because the underlying point about Ramaciotti’s senior design role across the Ferrari models I referred to was incorrect.

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Ferrari 360, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Ferrari 360. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. ConnerTT (talk) 21:01, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

None of the following is true. Could you please tell me which part you seem to have an issue with specifically, so I can make the changes? Or are you supporting an attack on my edits purely for entertainment? Ferrari360OG (talk) 21:25, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

Request reason:

I understand that the block concerns conduct and not a decision on the underlying content dispute. I accept that I should have stepped back sooner and handled the disagreement entirely through discussion and dispute resolution instead of allowing it to become a back-and-forth.

I only want to clarify that my position on the Ferrari 360 design attribution was source-based and carefully worded, not based on personal belief. I was not relying on patents alone. My sourcing included the U.S. design patent for the Ferrari 360 (D411,138), earlier Ferrari design patents associated with Lorenzo Ramaciotti such as the 456 GT and 550 Maranello, books and articles I cited on the page, and design-history material discussing the 360 project and Ramaciotti’s role at Pininfarina.

I also did not try to take liberties with his title. My intent was to describe Ramaciotti as design director / head of design at Pininfarina, which is consistent with source material describing him in senior design leadership roles, rather than to overstate him as something the sources did not explicitly say. In other words, my goal was to keep the article grounded in published sourcing and to distinguish sourced attribution from unsupported belief.

I am not asking this unblock request to decide the article content. I understand that even source-backed material must be handled through consensus, and that the proper response to disagreement was discussion on the talk page and, if needed, content dispute resolution such as WP:OR/N, not repeated reverting.

I do not mind serving the block if that is the community’s decision. I only ask that it be understood that my underlying sourcing position was genuine, that I was attempting to defend a source-based wording, and that future discussion of the article be guided by sources rather than personal interpretation. If unblocked, I will not continue back-and-forth reverting, I will avoid accusatory language, and I will keep any further dispute to the article talk page and appropriate noticeboards. I don't see a block on your account, directly at least. What makes you think that you are blocked? 331dot (talk) 11:50, 22 March 2026 (UTC)

I will note that you exceeded WP:3RR on Ferrari 360. Due to the fact that you exceeded it by less than an hour, that you are now engaging on the talk page, and you requested (and received) full protection for the article while things are hashed out, you won't be blocked for this, do not do this in the future. Even if you are right, it takes two to edit-war; step away before coming close to 3RR. - The Bushranger One ping only 20:42, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
Could the article temporarily use Pininfarina as the design attribution, rather than naming either Lorenzo Ramaciotti or Goran Popović individually, while the current sourcing discussion is being resolved?
The individual attribution is actively disputed, and a broader company-level attribution would be a neutral interim wording that avoids reader confusion until consensus is reached through the talk page and third-party input.
This request is only for temporary stability and does not seek to prejudge the final outcome of the discussion. Thank you. Ferrari360OG (talk) 01:33, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
