DSQ of Flores (NACAM F4 2021)

Hello, from where did you get the information that Arturo Flores got disqualified from the NACAM F4 race in Mexico City 2021? Apparently you changed the article but without naming a source.--Lukas Raich (talk) 17:45, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I based my edit on a screenshot of an FIA document. I don't remember where I got it from but I can send it to you if you give me an e-mail or something. Also I just heard that he successfully appealed the DSQ at @youngdriversmonthly on Instagram. --Formula Downforce (talk) 19:15, 17 November 2021 (CET)

Oh so it means he is still the winner of the race?--Lukas Raich (talk) 20:10, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

He was disqualified but I understand that he successfully appeled the disqualification so he should be the winner again. --Formula Downforce (talk) 21:24, 17 November 2021 (CET)

Career Summary Edit

Hello, I was looking at your edits to Ricardo Feller, specifically in the Career Summary section and was wondering why we don't display the sub-class championship standings in this table. For instance, Feller won the Silver Cup title in 2021, how are we supposed to display that in that table? So far, it looks as though the other Silver Cup champions from that season have the sub-class still listed (see Alex Fontana and Rolf Ineichen). SmackJam (talk) 14:50, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

Perdonally I think the same season shouldn't be displayed twice and the first standing used should be the overall one but I mainld changed it for consistency because there are many drivers who don't have sub classes displayed as well. In the end it doesn't matter if sub classes are displayed or not but it should be consistent. Formula Downforce (talk) 17:24, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

That's understandable. Thanks for clearing that up. SmackJam (talk) 20:26, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

Class position or overall position?

Hi Formula Downforce, I hope this finds you well. I just had a question regarding racing results, when we make tables for a car's results, do we enter its class position or overall position? I'm giving Audi R10 TDI a do-over and in some races, the Porsche RS Spyder beat it. So obviously it's not first overall, but it was still first in class. Do I still enter that as a first place, or its respective overall position? TIA. X-750 List of articles I have screwed over 21:47, 28 September 2022 (UTC)

I don't think it really matters which results you ad but it should be clear if class results or overall results are displayed. It's predecccesor, the Audi R8 LMP, has a table for 24HLM results which shows Overall position. Formula Downforce (talk) 07:17, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll roll with class positions and add footnotes for where they didn't finish that place overall. X-750 List of articles I have screwed over 20:40, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

Thanks

Hi I'm User:BurningBlaze05 and I just wanted to give my thanks to you for contributing and helping out with pages I'm making, I have learning difficulties so I find it a bit hard with learning how wikipedia works sometimes. BurningBlaze05 (talk) 19:45, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

No problem, you'll get into it. I had troubles figuring out how to format and color tables myself but once you get into it it's quite simple. Formula Downforce (talk) 20:15, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, and I really want to thank you for helping with articles I'm drafting. :) BurningBlaze05 (talk) 13:26, 26 June 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for editing Bastian Buus

Thank you so much for doing so, you made my page up to Wikipedia standards! You're amazing for helping me! BurningBlaze05 (talk) 11:17, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

Thanks. I just try my best to improve drafts, which I believe should be an article. Formula Downforce (talk) 12:08, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

I'm making a shrine for you

You are a absolute legend for helping me, I think I may make you a shrine where I worship you.

No idea why Cooper Webster's page gets accepted but Louis Sharp's doesn't. Wikipedia logic I guess. BurningBlaze05 (talk) 08:33, 11 November 2023 (UTC)

Sometimes it's just luck what reviewer you get. They may all work with the same guidelines but guidelines always leave room for interpretation. Formula Downforce (talk) 09:58, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
The argument on Sharps's rejection was that he doesn't pass the notability criteria for motorsports which is an understandable arguement since he has only raced in Formula 4 and lower categories. Since there is quite a lot of coverage of him either I thought he might get through the AFC Submission since Andrea Kimi Antonelli and some others also had articles as F4 drivers. Mitchell DeJong

Hello Formula Downforce,

I'm admittedly out of my element when discussing racing but one of my mentees has added a substantial amount of content to the article in the title. It seems a lot of it looks promotional to me and I have requested they correct. I have also instructed them to add citations which they are doing now. If you could just take a look at the article and tell me what you think I would be most grateful. Of course this is a request and not obligatory. I am reaching out to you because I have seen you on a quite a few racing articles. Thank you. --ARoseWolf 20:28, 25 March 2024 (UTC)

I think in the article looks good in some aspects but there some things that could be improved. You could use the "infobox racing driver" instead of the "infobox person". The "racing record" segment is actually a part about the "racing career" and it is in some parts repetitive of the "early life and career" section. Maybe you could distinguish career part into different types of racing like, karting, sim racing and rallycross. The section name "racing record" usually refers to a tabular overview of drivers results. And lastly some of the statements near the end of the career section, should either be moved to a "personal life" section or removed completely, because their are just promotional and unsourced. Formula Downforce (talk) 21:37, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
Thank you so much. Your suggestions are most helpful and invaluable. --ARoseWolf 16:36, 27 March 2024 (UTC)

Happy 19th birthday!

I forgot to wish you a happy brunch earlier in the morning 😭 BurningBlaze05 (talk) 19:51, 17 June 2025 (UTC)

Thank you very much. 😊 Formula Downforce (talk) 22:24, 17 June 2025 (UTC)

Hi! Thank you for all your contributions to keeping our results articles updated. Just so you're aware: in WP:F1, we standardly use section links in racing career summaries to redirect readers to the individual results from that season using id parameters. This has been done on a wide range of articles but not yet—at least consistently—on junior formulae ones, hence the disparity. They exist by design, not error. Apologies if I was a bit snide in my summary at Slater; have a good evening! MB2437 22:18, 13 October 2025 (UTC)

December 2025

Information icon Hello, I'm TylerBurden. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Marcus Ericsson, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! TylerBurden (talk) 23:06, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

Since when are there sources in the career summary table? You find the source if you go to the championships page like with all other entries in his career summary. Formula Downforce (talk) 23:15, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
If you have something to back up career tables being exempt from WP:VERIFY, I would love to see it, until then it's a WP:BLP violation. TylerBurden (talk) 08:55, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
Ok then, go ahead and remove the whole career summary since nothing in there is sourced. Formula Downforce (talk) 14:48, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
I'll take that as a no, if you want to put some actual effort into articles, try adding the entry in the career section before adding it to a summary section. TylerBurden (talk) 08:25, 27 December 2025 (UTC)

IRL category

Please stop adding Category:Indian Racing League drivers to drivers who have never raced in the Indian Racing League. MSport1005 (talk) 19:06, 8 March 2026 (UTC)

But they raced in the 2019 X1 Racing League, which is declared as the first Indian Racing League season in the article. Formula Downforce (talk) 19:11, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
2019 X1 Racing League consists of a single source tagged as unreliable. New references should be added to verify: 1) the series' notability, 2) whether it actually went ahead as claimed, 3) whether all of the listed drivers took part, 4) whether it holds any connection to the current IRL. Otherwise, paired with the WP:COI issues, it should be deleted and removed from Indian Racing League.
None of the drivers' racing records list any X1 Racing League results. MSport1005 (talk) 19:47, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
