A tag has been placed on File:Cabinet-searle-turton.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation and has no credible claim of non-free use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Hi Hepcatinthehat The {{PD-USGov}} license only applies to works created by employees of the US federal government as part of their official duties; it can't be used for work created by employees of the Canadian government or Canadian provincial governments. Moreover, the "educational use only" licensing that this photo is released under by the Government of Alberta is too restrictive for Wikipedia's purposes. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:18, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

Hello Hepcatinthehat! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:

• Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. • Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words.
