Hi Whpq. What do you think about File:Daniel IETI.jpg, File:Daniel Robot2.jpg, File:Weird Daniel.jpg, and File:Daniel Aoanan.jpg? My guess is that the uploader thought they could create a profile page on Wikipedia and was planning on using the photos there. TheY're all currently orphaned, but I guess one or more of them could be used on a user page if the uploader chose to create one that met WP:UPYES; however, there's really no point in tagging them for a move to Commons (assuming they're licensed OK) since they would almost certainly get tagged for speedy deletion per c:COM:PARTYPICS. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:56, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- You can PROD the photos. That gives the editor 7 days to make use of them or otherwise challenge the deletion. If they are deleted, they can upload them again or request them at WP:REFUND if they have a legitimate use for them. I'll note that one of the images looks like a studio photo and may be dubious with respect to licensing. -- Whpq (talk) 03:21, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
Edit to Caistor St Edmund : copyright issue
Dear Whpq, you have called me to account over an edit I made to the article Caistor St Edmund. I have no quarrel with Wikipedia's copyright policy so far as I understand it, and would certainly not have breached it deliberately. However, I did not retain a private copy of the offending edit, and when I tried to access it so as to understand your objection I found that you had also deleted all trace, presumably because you considered that the relevant history page itself remained in breach of copyright. Could you please send me privately the text of the edit so that I can understand what seems to have gone wrong, restore in a correct manner the substance of the improvement to the article, and avoid making a similar problem in the future? - There is no need to send you a copy of the redacted material. You copied material verbatim from this source. -- Whpq (talk) 12:48, 1 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from PixelKingdoms26 (21:14, 2 March 2026)
How do you create links, and how do you change text color? --PixelKingdoms26 (talk) 21:14, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- At its most basic, a link is created by enclosing the name of the target page in square brackets, like so: [[...insert target page name here...]]. Help:Link provides details on a variety of different possibilities when creating a link. As for changing text colour, Help:Color provides details on how to do that. Do be aware that colors can affect the accessibility of content. For more information about that, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Accessibility. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 22:20, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
