Film4 awards revert
hi,
I'm surprised by your revert of my change. Firstly, the change was not misinformed, the date of the source with the facts is from 2018.
Also, as an encyclopedia we are here to state facts not promote an image, see EP:NPOV
The image breaking part was fat thumbs, you could have just fixed that. Duncnbiscuit (talk) 21:54, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi there! Thanks for your inquiry. I reverted your edit because it was misformatted. There was a missing comma and an extra space. Hope that clarifies things. Regards, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 00:14, 8 January 2026 (UTC)

Your edit summaries
Hello. Thanks for your help. At desktop view, you can view deletion logs when tapping or clicking on red links of deleted files. That way, you'll learn whether the image either was local or belonged to Commons instead of just this edit summary: Remove image deleted from Commons.

Black section
Sorry to bug you! You're the last one to edit or revert changes in Khmer Traditional Clothing so I thought maybe you could explain the entire black section under 'Bottoms'? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khmer_traditional_clothing MoonsMoon (talk) 22:07, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- Never mind, I figured it out finally! There's been a rush of blanking/OR/vandalism by editors on this article recently.
- Also, it kind of looks like I was accusing *you* of blanking the page but I wasn't! You're like the last person to do legitimate edits to the article so I thought maybe you could figure out how to fix it. MoonsMoon (talk) 23:12, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi MoonsMoon, good work with fixing it! No worries, your message didn't come off as an accusation or anything and I knew what you meant!
I only stumbled upon the article as a patroller of CAT:MISSFILE (a category for articles with missing files, which Khmer traditional clothing was showing up in due to the IP edit I reverted. I did a quick search and it looks like the issue originated from this 2021 edit. It looks to me like maybe the user meant to add a "See also" mention to the full article on the topic, but went about it in a clunky way and messed up the article. Wild that it was never changed for five years! Thanks for finally catching that error! Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 23:23, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Chinese History: A New Manual
Thanks for your comment. The 6th edition of this book is no longer the latest edition. A 7th edition was published in 2025. I am therefore trying to download the cover photo of the 6th edition and upload the cover photo of the 7th edition. I am also trying to update the article based on the contents of the 7th edition. Jimmy Welch (talk) 04:45, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Jimmy Welch, thanks for the explanation! You may want to read WP:IUP if you're not familiar with it just to make sure the photo you upload conforms to our copyright policies. If you have any other questions, let me know! Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 13:10, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
Academic term revert
Hello, you stated "An edit is not vandalism simply because it goes against yours." How can you decline an edit with proper reference and remove valid information? I didn't add any personal opinion here, it's a fact with reference. You can remove the "Autumn", but you can't simply remove an entire university's name for no reason when it clearly belongs in this section. Don't go vandalizing information yourself & start calling it personal opinion. Samiullah Hridoy (talk) 14:25, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Samiullah Hridoy, I appreciate you pointing that out! I'd only meant to remove "Autumn" as it's not necessary to list two different names for the same season. I'd not noticed the university name, but I've restored that and your reference. Apologies about the misunderstanding! It does seem like you're misunderstanding what "vandalism" means, though. "Vandalism" refers to a deliberate and malicious attempt to add false information to a page. It is not an umbrella term for any edits that you personally disagree with or go against what you added. If you have any questions, I suggest you consult vandalism for a more thorough definition of what vandalism is. Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 17:31, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hello KatnissEverdeen, yep I got your point. Thanks for the clarification. Regards. Samiullah Hridoy (talk) 18:54, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Photo Delete
Hello and thank you for contacting me. I did not create my Wikipedia page and never even looked at it until a person brought to my attention the picture of me with a colleague on the front page. She is not a family member and I would prefer to have an individual photo of myself so that is why I was trying to delete the photo and then was going to add a solo shot. However, I am completely confused as to how to do this and have ti permanently edited to what I want. I also changed by year of birth as it stated 1955 and it is 1954. How do I or who could do this for me? Thank you for any help or guidance you can give me.
Ted Barton (talk) 17:53, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Ted Barton, thanks for reaching out! Firstly, since you're editing your own article, you should probably read WP:COIEDIT. I'd recommend looking through the policy fully, but the gist is that we have a conflict of interest policy that strongly discourages the subject from editing their own page. This is to prevent bias, and because it's the Internet, it can also be very difficult to verify someone is who they say they are.
- In regards to your specific inquiry, WP:COIEDIT does mention that you can post your edit request on the talk page and seek other editors' feedback. The two changes you mentioned are pretty simple, and I don't think anyone would have a problem with changing the date if you have a reliable source stating the correct birth year. In terms of the image, generally it is preferred to have solo images. From my understanding, you'd be welcome to propose a better image on the talk page as long as it abides by Wikpedia's copyright policy. Please let me know if you have any questions! Changing picture
Hello, I am really hoping you can help me change the picture on Wikipedia to a new one. It is so frustrating and overwhelming to find a way to do this permanently. I have so many pictures of myself and the ones I have on Facebook and instagram is the same one I wish to use on Wikipedia but it will not take it. The most important thing for me is to take down the one that is there as it is with a college and I want it to be just of myself. I do not even mind to have a service do it for me because at this point I am quite lost on exactly what I need to do. I have tried but failed so far. Are you able to help me? PLEASE Ted Barton (talk) 15:01, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Ted Barton, thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry that your Wikipedia experience has been a frustrating one. It appears you've uploaded your photo to Commons, so you should be able to leave a message on Talk:Ted Barton requesting that the photo you just uploaded be substituted for the current one. It just needs to be a brief explanation of why you want the photo changed. Copyright policy on Wikipedia can be very complicated, even for experienced users. It looks like you've done everything right, but if for some reason it is deleted again, I would recommend reaching out to the deleting admin or the users that helped you at the Commons Help Desk, (MKFI or Jmabel), since they are more of an expert on copyright than I am. Hope this helps! Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 16:02, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your response. Much appreciated. I did click on the two people you (MKFI and Jmabel) but could not find where I can leave them a message or request. Where can I access deleting admin? Ted Barton (talk) 16:18, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Ted Barton: I have replied on your commons talk page. MKFI (talk) 16:57, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Ted Barton, as MKFI mentioned, you can respond to them on your Commons talk page. Just to clarify, my comment about the "deleting admin" does not mean your image has been deleted again. I am not necessarily the most knowledgeable about copyright (Commons users are typically more versed with the ins and outs of copyright), so I had only mentioned it as a backup in the event your image was deleted again in the future. As you saw, your talk page request was approved, and the image has been added to the article. Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 22:37, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Hey, I've asked you a question a couple weeks ago, but you haven't answered it yet
How am I supposed to meet the policy to upload the image of Chiyori with her middle finger? It was deleted by Explicit due to this policy, even though I said the original owner from X (User is @mychristian2) gave permission to use it for non-commercial purposes. Gregory Khachatrian (talk) 06:43, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Gregory Khachatrian, could you clarify what proof you provided that @mychristian2 gave you permission to use the image? To make sure we're abiding Wikipedia's copyright policies, we cannot simply take users at their word. If you're unclear on how to provide proof, please work with Explicit, as they are the one that deleted the image. I am unable to see what proof you provided (if any) for fair use. My message on your talk page was simply to let you know I removed the broken link to the file after it was deleted. I didn't have any role in deleting the file. Also, for the future, please ping me if you've requested my response somewhere that isn't on my talk page. I edit a lot of pages, and don't typically go back to check all of the previous pages I've edited if I haven't been notified.
