't Hooft loop
The article 't Hooft loop is written "one level down", so I do not think that the "technical tag" is warrented. Its a very niche but still notable/important QFT topic, so was written to be understood for someone with a basic understanding of QFT, which I would argue is the requisit level. OpenScience709 (talk) 10:46, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- @OpenScience709 Did you notice that I was using the {{technical|Introduction}}? It wouldn't be easy here but the lead should be as accessible to a lay reader as possible, see WP:MTAU.
- I absolutely agree that the article as a whole being written "one level down" is appropriate and fits with WP:MTAU.
- I have a MPhil in Quantum Chemistry, so I fully appreciate that the topic is niche and it follows that the whole article having an undergraduate level of understanding would be a prerequisite. However, writing the lead in as plain English as possible is a worthwhile goal and the {{technical|Introduction}} template might spur an editor with a good enough grasp of the topic to write a lead that draws the reader into the rest of the article by setting the scene with an easier to follow high level conceptual overview. Mānuka honey Economics Section
On the 5th of November 2025 you added an economics section to the Mānuka honey page. I could not find the following paper using the citation given in the page:
Williams, G. (2022). "The economics of mānuka honey and the challenges of international branding". New Zealand Economic Papers. 56 (3): 421–439. doi:10.1080/00779954.2022.1234567.
Please let me know if you have an updated link to the paper, Thanks ~2026-32181-44 (talk) 09:45, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
- @~2026-32181-44
- yep, I can't find it now too. found a few papers on honey fraud, but the claim was about legitimate competition from Australian producers and point of origin branding. I think the claim can stay in some form but I'll try to find another supporting reference. Duncnbiscuit (talk) 00:50, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- the following is an example of honey fraud and image crafting by NZ producers, which I might add along with a slightly different claim in the Economics section.
- Finlay-Smits, Susanna, Alyssa Ryan, J. R. De Vries, and James Turner. "Chasing the honey money: Transparency, trust, and identity crafting in the Aotearoa New Zealand mānuka honey sector." Journal of Rural Studies 100 (2023): 103004. Duncnbiscuit (talk) 00:59, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
