Ah, not at the moment :/ I actually first got the info from the NYT live coverage, specifically an entry by Axel Boada earlier today ("Footage from The University of California at San Diego's ALERTCalifornia camera network shows the Palisades fire billowing plumes of smoke as early as 10:24 a.m. on Jan. 7.").

I don't think that NYT coverage is behind a paywall, but I also wasn't sure how to appropriately link/cite a page like that, since I'm not sure what happens to that page once the live coverage is over. Maybe it'd be better to just undo my edit on the Palisades article and add more detailed info in a few days or weeks when the details of the situation are better clarified? That's great... the WaPo is behind a paywall, not the NYT. A perma-article would be better, as like you said, who knows what happens to this URL in the next day or two, but by then there should be a real article we can permalink to for the cite... as long as we have a way for the average user to easily verify that time... - Adolphus79 (talk) 00:11, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
