Managing a conflict of interest
Hello, Lawdragon5000. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Arnold Levin, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the Edit Request Wizard), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. voorts (talk/contributions) 04:12, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am a grandchild and will definitely disclose this now in future. However, this was not in any way supposed to be promotional material or advertising as I do think the subject is very well notable enough to have a page.
- Please see other relevant attorney pages:
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_A._Seeger
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._Mark_Lanier
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_R._Kline
- I sincerely apologize and in no way am trying to go against any conflict of interest rules and will change the edit to the article to disclose this. Is there any way I could get an independent person to edit this article and review, or is there any way I can still get it approved upon disclosure that I have a family relationship? Lawdragon5000 (talk) 04:46, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- I've reviewed it again. In sum, it is unlikely that this article will be accepted. Articles about other attorneys on Wikipedia are not relevant to whether this article will be accepted. voorts (talk/contributions) 17:29, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for reviewing; I appreciate it as I know you are a volunteer. I have decided to just edit the pages of the litigation he was a part of to include his positions. I just want to disclose to you since I have a COI:
- Fenfluramine/phentermine
- Rofecoxib
- Chinese drywall
- Thank you, and have a good weekend. Lawdragon5000 (talk) 20:47, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- You should not be editing pages directly. Please make edit requests using the edit request wizard. voorts (talk/contributions) 21:15, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- I just added these requests at the bottom of each of the talk pages, thank you.
