Table on warbling antbird

hi! the table you added with the geographical locations of the species.. i think maybe it should go under distribution and habitat, just because where it is currently, it leaves a big gap next to the infobox and it looks a little messy. id do it myself, but i have no idea how. thanks for your contribution!

Hi, thanks for the feedback! While I do agree that it looks ugly, unfortunately I can't think of a good solution. This article is an unusual case, as it is of a species complex, and thus I feel the table showing the different species should be near the top, as they are the main subject of the article. Plus, articles generally have the "Taxonomy" section at the top, and the table is primarily for listing the different species (the maps are more of a bonus, and to help compare them).
Oh also, it's actually easier to move a table than it looks! If you'd like, I could give you step-by-step instructions. If you mess it up, no bother, someone will come along and fix it :) Let Me Edit It (talk) 15:35, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
it is a very unusual case lol. that makes sense though. the only other solution would be to move the taxonomy heading further down past the infobox. and a step by step would be helpful :3. thanks! LuciaBennett (talk) 20:29, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
Here is my step-by-step guide. I made a subpage of my user page to show you. See my edit notes on the history of that page to see each step.
I see that you edit using Visual Editor. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to move a table in Visual Editor, so this guide is for Source Editor. I recommend using Source Editor as well as Visual Editor. It looks a lot more confusing and overwhelming, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that bad (I think it took me about a day or two to figure out?).
  • Step 1: Locate the table
Go to the section where the table is. The table will generally look something like this:
{| class="wikitable sortable"
|+ Caption text
|-
! Header text !! Header text !! Header text
|-
| Example || Example || Example
|-
| Example || Example || Example
|-
| Example || Example || Example
|}
  • Step 2: Select everything between the two curly brackets {| and |}
  • Step 3: Cut the text (instructions on how to do this depend on your device, but you probably already know how)
  • Step 4: Find where you want to put the table, and make some room for it using linebreaks
  • Step 5: Paste in the table
  • Step 6: Use the preview button, and move stuff around if it looks weird
  • Step 7: Done! Save your edit :)
Remember: the preview button is your friend! You can use previews to try moving stuff around until it's just right.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I would also be happy to help with anything else you want to know :) Let Me Edit It (talk) 11:19, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
